I was born and raised in Joliet, Illinois. For a short time when I was 4 years old my family lived in Long Beach, CA. I enjoyed my growing-up years in Joliet - yet I always knew I would eventually live in California. I moved to Los Angeles when I was 22 years old and soon after moved to San Diego where I've been ever since. Most people can understand why San Diego is such a great place - to me it's home. There's barely a day that goes by that I'm not grateful for the mild weather, the beach, the mountains, and all the fun activities. For the last 19 years I've had the pleasure to work in San Diego real estate. For a 3-year period I was on a real estate team that worked all over San Diego County. It was during that time that I became acquainted with so many different neighborhoods in our North County, East County, South Bay, and Metro area. It definitely enhanced my education as a Realtor. It's been my experience that people from many other professions transition to working in real estate. The reasons are as varied as the people themselves. It is my opinion that there is one truth for all real estate agents: you either have a passion for this profession or you don't. I don't believe there is a middle ground. That doesn't mean our work is easy, it means we have dedication and focus when the going gets tough and we have a strong sense of duty when representing a client. In case you can't tell, I am definitely one of those agents with a passion for what I do. I've had it from the beginning and it hasn't waned, even when our real estate market began to decline. I didn't leave the profession; I just worked through it by helping as many people as I could with their real estate needs.
