• Aside from her mother, Tanya Heath leaves behind her father, Reubin Heath, of Lower Mount Bethel Township; a sister, Crystal Ferguson Heath, of Easton; and a brother, Jamahl Heath, of Lower Mount Bethel.Born in Newark, Tanya Heath was raised with her siblings in Piscataway, Middlesex County, before moving to the Somerset section of Franklin Township, Somerset County in New Jersey. She graduated from Franklin Township High School in the 1980s.Tanya Heath moved to the Lehigh Valley after her parents in the 1990s. She wanted a better life to provide for her children and accomplished that working for the U.S. Postal Service in the mail division for 21 years.It wasn't until a couple of years ago that Tanya Heath took a leave of absence from her job after years of dealing with the tragic death of her daughter, Ashley Heath, 18. The teen was shot and killed in 2008 while attending an Allentown housewarming party, Elaine Heath said.
