Interests:
My research interests are currently focused on the Eastern Seaboard. I am interested in relationships of power that are manifest in capitalism, be it issues of class, race, or gender. Currently, I am examining the transition from slavery to freedom at a plantation in Southern Maryland. I am also interested in the engagement of communities in the process of archaeological research, and how archaeology can be included in the development and discovery of a community's cultural heritage. I am also interested in the use of digital social media as a means of creating these communities and educating the public about archaeology.
Personally, I am an avid baseball fan and player, lover of all Motown music, and a true MSU Spartan.
