Abstract:

Improved security between a client and a server in a computer network is provided by allowing either endpoint (the client or the server) to initiate request messages. In this way, it is possible to configure the system so that the server always makes the opening move of negotiation, allowing the location of the server to remain hidden until a legal session is established. Dynamic relocation of the server further hides the location of the server from unauthorized users. Additionally, each message may be authenticated individually as it is received, with the endpoint making no response to an unauthentic message, thus preventing attacks on its security. Finally, negotiation of both the encryption method and the key used in the encryption process allows for the rapid reconfiguration of encryption to protect against unauthorized users who may have broken the code.

Abstract:

A self lubricating bearing for use submerged in cryogenic fluids. The self-lubricating bearing comprises hardened races, hardened rolling elements and polymeric retainers or cages. More particularly, the rolling elements may be hardened balls, and the polymeric cages may include PEEK. In particular a bearing for self lubricated use in seal-less, magnetic drive pump for pumping fluids at very low temperatures and cryogenic temperatures below about -100 degrees centigrade such as liquid nitrogen and temperatures below about -150 degrees centigrade such as liquefied natural gas (LNG). An environment for submerged use of such a bearing may be a magnetically driven cryogenic pump with a housing having an intake and exhaust with a back plate mounted therein in which a shaft is journaled in self-lubricating bearings having hardened stainless steel or ceramic balls, stainless steel races and polymeric retainers or cages for retaining the balls for rolling contact in the races. An impeller is mounted on the first end and a first magnet is mounted on the second end of the shaft.

A method is disclosed for managing a network having a plurality of network elements, where the network elements are configured to be interconnected to one another. A data structure is maintained that includes information about a link state for each network element in the plurality of network elements. A system and method for measuring the position of at least one field producing element (e. g. , a magnet) without a direct electrical or physical connection between the field producing element and one or more sensors. A host device for a wireless network may be configured to implement at least two virtual access points for connecting client devices to the wireless network. A user virtual access point enables a client device to connect to the wireless network and transmit network traffic to other devices connected to the wireless network. In addition, a setup virtual access point provides an additional access point to connect to the wireless network when network credentials for the user virtual access point, such as a service set identifier (SSID) or a password, are changed by a user.
