Abstract:
Aspects relate to computer implemented methods and systems for monitoring a user's hearing and comprehension. The methods and systems include receiving, by an audio capture device, a first audio input, receiving, by the audio capture device, a second audio input, converting the first and second audio inputs into respective first and second audio signals, transcribing the first and second audio signals into respective first and second transcriptions, analyzing, by a processor of the remote resource, the first and second transcriptions to determine if a content of the second transcription is related to a content of the first transcription to determine degradation of hearing of the user.

Abstract:
Audio information of audio content being listened to by a user is received. An aspect of a listening environment of the user is identified. A volume preset, based on the audio information and the aspect of the listening environment, is determined to be available. A first volume of the audio content being listened to by the user is determined to be different from the volume preset. The first volume of the audio content is adjusted to a second volume.

Abstract:
A system and method to dynamically control a configuration of parallax barriers includes performing skeletal tracking, using a skeletal tracking system, to determine a position of each viewer of content displayed by an image source. One of the parallax barriers among the parallax barriers is determined as being most closely associated with a viewing angle of each viewer, and the one of the parallax barriers is adjusted as needed to display the content as a three-dimensional image to one or more of the viewers with the viewing angle that is the most closely associated.

Abstract:
An embodiment of a method of evaluating an effectiveness of a sign includes detecting whether a user is within a selected range of a location of a sign, and based on the user being within the selected range, acquiring a visible image of the user. The method also includes estimating, by a gaze monitoring device, a direction of a gaze of the user, and determining whether the estimated direction of the gaze is toward the location. The method further includes, based on determining that the gaze is toward the location, performing, by a processing device, estimating an amount of time during which the estimated direction of the gaze is toward the location, and based on the amount of time being greater than or equal to a threshold amount, determining that the user has at least a threshold level of interest in the sign.

Abstract:
A computer system with a hypervisor detects the local physical connection of a portable storage device with an operating system image thereon. The computer system installs an instance of the operating system on the hypervisor, and the hypervisor assigns a set of resources to the instance to generate a virtual machine. As further portable storage devices with operating systems thereon are locally, physically connected to the computer system, additional virtual machines are generated, each with a different operating system instance, which may be the same or different from the other operating system instances. The resources of the computer system are assigned and reassigned among the virtual machines as the portable storage devices are connected and disconnected.

Abstract:
Described herein are methods, systems, and computer program products for providing supplementary information with an initial visualization. To provide supplementary information, a display device can provide the initial visualization, a gaze tracker can capture gaze direction data from a user viewing the initial visualization, and a processor of a computing device can process the gaze direction data to determine a point of interest. The display device can then provide the supplementary information with the initial visualization based on the point of interest.
