Abstract:

A sheet separating machine automatically separates and removes a sheet of a dry nonextendable film from a printed circuit panel. The machine comprises a plurality of feeding rollers carrying the panel with the films attached to either or both sides thereof through the machine. The stop lever interrupts a movement of the panel at a predetermined location for a selected time interval. An edge separator for loosening a film edge during the interval rides along the film edge and separates the film edge from the panel by utilizing pressure wheels and turbulent air flow. Knife means breaking a bondage between the panel and the film force the film to completely separate from the underlying panel. The separated film is conveyed by the guide means toward a film accumulator.

Abstract:

A stacker-loader is positioned at the end of a conveyor line for receiving printed circuit boards as they follow each other in series or sequence along the conveyor. The stacker-loader converts the series of boards into a stack of boards, one aligned over the other on a cart which may be removed. The boards are so stacked without any one sliding over another, since the conductive strip lines on confronting boards might catch on each other. The stacker-loader comprises a field of driven rollers for the enabling of the boards to sequentially travel in series one after another when they leave the conveyor. A pair of spaced parallel cantilever arms are positioned to receive, between themselves, each of the printed circuit boards as it is delivered from the field of driven rollers. An aligned plurality of wheels are mounted on and extended from confronting surfaces of the cantilever arms for supporting the boards as they move along the arms. When the boards reach the end of the arms, the wheels are retracted to drop the boards supported thereby onto the cart.

Abstract:

A torque-limiting clutch brake is provided that has an inner collar which splines to a transmission gearbox input shaft. An intermediate coupling member fits around and engages the inner collar. A friction generating resilient wave washer is disposed between the intermediate coupling member and an outer housing. The outer housing includes two covers, within which the components are contained and the resilient wave washer is partially compressed. Friction generated by the resilient wave washer conditionally couples the outer housing to the intermediate coupling member and inner collar until torque on the device exceeds a certain threshold, at which point the clutch brake slips to prevent damage. The components are made up of separable semicircular sections which can be split apart to facilitate removal and installation of the clutch brake without lowering and disassembling the vehicle transmission. The outer housing is hinged at one end and has a clamping bolt at the other end for securing the unit around a gear box input shaft.
