    A magnetically receptive carrier plate for a conventional shopping cart is provided for the convenient in-store use of magnetic mount shopping aids such as a notepad/coupon holder writing implement holder or calculator The magnetically receptive carrier plate is rotatable around the handlebar of a conventional shopping cart and can present either magnetically receptive surface or to the shopper for the convenient magnetic mounting of portable notepad/coupon holder pencil holder or calculator Supported on one side by the handlebar holder the other end of the carrier plate rests on either the upper rear transverse rod or the child seat upper transverse rod of the cart Additionally, the carrier plate can be rotated rearwardly over the handlebar toward the shopper to hang downwardly in front of the shopper. In this orientation the accessories and can be magnetically secured to the now vertical surface and are safely and conveniently out of the reach of a child occupying the childs seat.

    A system for creating video generated decorative images is provided which includes a projecting device for generating an image and first and second reflecting members including reflective surfaces oriented at an angle of 90. degree. or less to the display surface of the projecting device and of less than 180. degree. to one another. A pleasing and changing kaleidoscopic image is visible when facing the display surface or screen and the first and second reflecting surfaces by the mutual reflection of the images on the screen and the reflecting members. In one preferred embodiment, the junction forming the apex between the reflecting members is inclined to present the appearance of a pentagonal kaleidoscopic image. In another preferred embodiment, one-way mirrors are used to generate further reflections visible from outside the system. The projecting device is preferably a computer monitor which displays randomly generated patterns to produce a dynamic, self-illuminating kaleidoscopic effect.
