Abstract:

An improved fluid proportioner. For improved fluid flow, a body is configured to direct a first fluid wherein at least one fluid gate housing is removably fixed to the body. A bearing pressurably is fitted within the at least one fluid gate housing to seal the first fluid within the body. A fluid gate is disposed within the body configured to gate the first fluid to alternating sides of a motor cylinder having a motor piston sealably disposed within. The motor piston has a cap attached at an end wherein the cap has a concave annular groove. A seal is surroundably disposed around the concave annular groove which radially extends beyond the cap to pressurably engage against the motor cylinder to reduce friction. A slave pump has a inlet valve and a outlet valve with an inlet raised base formed around an inlet orifice and an outlet raised base formed around an outlet orifice.

Abstract:

An elastomeric bearing having inner and outer races and a core. The core has a plurality of resilient laminae and a plurality of non-resilient laminae interleaved with one another. Each of the lamina has an axially inner cylindrical portion of a given diameter, an axially outer cylindrical portion of a greater diameter than the given diameter and, lying between the inner and outer laminae, an angled portion joining the axially inner and outer laminae to each other. The laminae are continuous and of one piece. In this way, the elastomeric bearing has comparatively small resistance to torsional movement, but great resistance to both radial and axial movement.

Abstract:

The present invention provides a self-powered proportioner which can automatically, proportionally mix two fluids in a low ratio. A fluid gating means is disposed intermediate a fluid supply and a motor piston to cause reciprocating movement of the motor piston within a motor cylinder. A connecting rod secured to the motor piston is disposed within a cavity in the housing extending between the motor cylinder and a slave pump cylinder. A slave pump piston is secured to the connecting rod for providing responsive reciprocatory movement of the slave pump piston within slave pump cylinder for pumping a second fluid. A connecting rod seal is interposed between the cavity wall and the connecting rod intermediate the motor cylinder and the slave pump cylinder preventing fluid communication through the cavity between the motor cylinder and the slave pump cylinder.

Abstract:

A bearing assembly is for supporting a pivotable member and includes a laminated bearing having a generally cylindrical body with a centerline and a central bore for receiving at least a portion of the pivotable member. The body is formed of a plurality of alternating, generally tubular elastomeric and metallic laminae nested coaxially about the central axis, each one of the elastomeric and metallic laminae having opposing axial ends. At least one and preferably two thermally conductive members are coupled with a separate one of the two axial ends of one of the metallic laminae and each extends generally axially from the bearing body so as to provide a heat sink.
