Abstract:

The present invention provides a method for upgrading embedded configuration databases while a network device is operating and with minimal disruption to network device operation. While a network device is operating and using an embedded primary configuration database, an embedded backup configuration database stops performing as a backup database and is upgraded. The upgraded configuration database is then switched over to become the primary configuration database. The original primary configuration database may immediately become the backup configuration database, or the original primary configuration database may remain unchanged until the upgrade is committed. If the upgrade is not committed, for example, due to errors, then the original primary configuration database may be quickly switched over to again become the primary configuration database. As a result, embedded configuration databases may be upgraded while a network device is operating and with minimal disruption to network device operation.

An article comprising first and second bodies of permanent magnet material, each of said first and second bodies consisting substantially of a substrate of permanent magnet material being magnetized substantially uniformly to a predetermined flux density in a range from zero flux to 100% flux saturation of the permanent magnet material; each of the first and second bodies also comprising a pattern of at least one affected volume in a surface of the body, wherein each affected volume has a magnetic flux density that varies from the substantially uniform predetermined flux density and wherein the first and second bodies are stacked and fixedly attached so that the pattern on each body aligns with the pattern on the other body, wherein at least one affected volume on the first body is aligned with at least one affected volume on the second body and wherein the aligned affected volumes comprise a pole detectable by a magnetic sensor.

Abstract:

A document processing system receives an electronic document including component documents generated from various sources in different formats. Plain text data can be extracted from the electronic document in addition to formatting and structuring information. The plain text data is segmented into sections and various entities are extracted and linked from the sections. An interactive graphical user interface (GUI) that displays content including the plain text data is formatted according to the styling information and annotated entity relationships are determined from the linked entities. The GUI enables user edits to the annotated entity relationships.

Abstract:

This document describes systems, methods, devices, and other techniques for automatically identifying and extracting medical conditions and supporting evidences from electronic health records. In some implementations, formatted text extracted from an unstructured electronic health record is obtained. The formatted text is segmented into multiple documents, wherein each document comprises a respective document type and represents a respective document encounter. Medical condition entities and supporting evidence entities referenced in each of the multiple documents are extracted. Extracted supporting evidence entities within a same document are linked to respective extracted medical condition entities from the same document using one or more of i) medical ontologies, or ii) a medical knowledge base. Output data representing linked supporting evidence entities and medical condition entities within a same document is provided.

Abstract:

The present disclosure describes techniques for performing dimensional analysis on a set of healthcare claims to identify subsets of claims that deviate from baseline metrics. One example method includes identifying a plurality of dimensions for analysis within a plurality of healthcare claims; calculating a set of baseline metrics for the plurality of healthcare claims; for each particular dimension of the plurality of dimensions: identifying dimensional subsets including healthcare claims from the plurality of healthcare claims; identifying outlier subsets from the identified dimensional subsets based on differences between the set of subset metrics for each dimensional subset and the set of baseline metrics; and providing, for output, each identified outlier subset and associated differences between the set of subset metrics for each outlier subset and the set of baseline metrics.
