My wife Carrie and I live in the Bayou neighborhood of Bay Isles on Longboat Key. We purchased our dream home here a few years ago and have never looked back. I have a BA in Business Economics from Brown University and have been in sales and marketing my entire career. I also have a strong background in Finance. After moving to Longboat Key and starting our own marketing firm, I decided on a career in Real Estate because I felt it not only allowed me to make full use of my sales and marketing background but also let me show others my passion for the area. I developed a deep passion for the waterfront lifestyle during my childhood growing up in Tiverton, RI on the shores of Narragansett Bay. The majority of my time was spent playing on the sea in the form of fishing, windsurfing, and sailing. I enjoyed my time in New England, but I missed being able to enjoy water sports year round which was ultimately why I moved to Florida. After being in the Sarasota area for several years now, I can truly say I have found the closest thing to heaven on Earth. Being able to live so close to such a wide variety of cultural activities including the Asolo Theatre, Van Wezel, and Ringling Museum is a dream come true. Sarasota is also a top notch dining destination with several fabulous restaurants to choose from including many waterfront destinations easily accessible by boat. The weather is so good and predictable that you can plan on beach going, tennis, golf, boating, cycling, or other outdoor activities. Combine that with a relatively low cost of living and no state income taxes, and you have a home run!
