Abstract:

A projector automation system for controlling one or more controlled systems having functionality that is responsive at least in part to automation control signals. The automation system interacts with a digital projector having a control port and a film projector having a cue sensor that generates cue signals. A film-based cinema automation component receives the cue signals and generate at least some of the automation control signals to the one or more controlled systems. A second cinema automation component has a first interface coupled to the control port of the digital projector and the first cinema automation system. The second cinema automation component includes means for generating at least some of the automation control signals to the one or more controlled systems either autonomously, semi-autonomously, or in response to commands from an external scheduling system.

Abstract:

A method of scheduling pre-show feature presentations in a theatre by providing content items in a theatre server. A plurality of advertising contract records are stored at the theater server, where each advertising contract record identifies at least one content item. The advertising contract records include scheduling data associated with that particular content item, wherein the scheduling data includes at least one item of information that correlates to a particular presentation criterion that must be satisfied when the content is presented. Theatre schedule information indicates particular feature presentations that will be presented in particular auditoriums and includes the scheduling information including at least one attribute of the feature presentation. A pre-show play list is built for a particular auditorium by selecting contract records that will have their presentation criteria satisfied by the at least one attribute specified in the theatre schedule information arranging content items associated with each of the selected contract records to form the pre-show play list.

Abstract:

A repository is created and maintained that receives and stores a plurality of attributes associated with digital components resident at a display complex and associated with particular digital cinema systems within that display complex. These attributes can be accessed by clients which thereafter use that data to securely convey digital content to a particular digital cinema system. Each display complex collects attributes associated with the digital cinema systems resident at the complex and pushes the data to a service module hosted on a server on a wide area network. Upon receiving the attributes corresponding to each digital component of each cinema system, the server conveys the data to a repository for storage. Thereafter, responsive to a request from a client, data needed to securely convey content to a digital cinema system is retrieved from the repository and conveyed to the requesting client.

Abstract:

A generator engine set includes a brush partition for separating a space defined between an air blower housing and an enclosure into two areas so that an air flow from one area to the other area is substantially prohibited. The brush partition includes a flexible bristle portion and a rigid spline portion. The spline portion is retained in a receiving member on an outer surface of the air blower housing by a clip. The bristle portion extends toward the enclosure and engages an inner surface of the enclosure. Accordingly, a warmed air flow is prohibited from recirculating back into cooling air inlets.

Abstract:

An electronic stethoscope includes a housing configured for hand-held manipulation, a transducer supported by the housing and configured to sense auscultation signals at a first location, and a headset coupled to the housing and configured to deliver audio corresponding to the auscultation signals through earpieces on the headset. The electronic stethoscope further includes a processor disposed in the housing and configured to convert the auscultation signals to first digital signals representative of the auscultation signals and to wirelessly transmit the first digital signals from the electronic stethoscope via a secure digital network to a second location such that the audio corresponding to the auscultation signals is provided to headsets of one or more additional electronic stethoscopes at the second location in substantial real time with the sensing of the auscultation sounds at the first location.
