Abstract:

A method and system for transmitting a facsimile message uses a public-switched telecommunications network, the public-switched telecommunication network having a messaging platform capable of storing a plurality of facsimile messages. The initiation of a telephone call to a destination is detected, the content of the call including the facsimile message. If the destination is available at a first time to receive a telephone call, the facsimile message is transmitted. The facsimile message is stored on the messaging platform only if the destination is unavailable at the first time. If the facsimile message was stored, the facsimile message is transmitted at a second time if the destination if the destination is available.

Abstract:

A protective cover for an infant or child in a baby swing or infant carrier device such as a baby car seat, bicycle seat, or stroller. The cover has a top sheet and a bottom sheet formed by folding a single continuous sheet. The top and bottom sheet are removably connected by snaps or a zipper. The snaps are aligned and spaced an equal distance apart along the outer edges of the sheets, so the size of the enclosure can be adjusted by fastening the relevant snaps. The top sheet has an adjustable flap defining an opening for the baby's head.

Abstract:

A tool for abutment against an object to detect when the object is at a predetermined orientation is temporarily securable to the object in order to free both of the operator's hands for other activities. Plural spirit level vials, oriented to face in different directions, indicate when the tool is vertical, horizontal or inclined at one or more predetermined angles. In the preferred form, the tool body has a central handle region from which arms extend in opposite directions and a pair of members extend laterally from the end of each arm to define segments of a right angled slot into which the object is fitted. The tool preferably has three different types of fastener including retractable nail-like pins which may be penetrated into wood or the like, elastic cords which may be used to clasp the object and magnets which cause the tool to cling to steel posts, pipes or the like.
