Abstract:
A method and apparatus for processing credit card transactions over the Internet includes an application program interface (API) that converts a simple ASCII transaction message from the merchant to the message spec required by the transaction processor. The API also encrypts the transaction message so that the transaction is secure over the Internet and manages the message traffic between the merchant and transaction processor. In a second preferred embodiment, a merchant sends a simple ASCII transaction message via a SSL (secure sockets layer) Internet connection. In preferred embodiments, redundant connections are set up between the merchant and the transaction processor, allowing a transaction to continue being processed if one of the connections fails.
Systems And Methods For Protecting Account Identifiers In Financial Transactions
In a system for protecting account identifiers in financial transactions, a consumer provides an account identifier to be used for purchasing a good or service from a merchant. However, only a portion of the account identifier is transmitted to the merchant. The remaining portion of the account identifier is transmitted to a server, referred to as a “payment facilitator,” that is not controlled by the merchant. During the financial transaction, the merchant submits a request for financial payment containing a portion of the consumer's account identifier to the payment facilitator. The payment facilitator combines the account identifier portion in the request with the account identifier portion transmitted to it from the consumer in order to determine the consumer's full account identifier. The payment facilitator then submits a request for financial payment to a financial institution for approval.
Systems And Methods For Authenticating Near Field Communcation Financial Transactions
A system for authenticating near field communication (NFC) transactions that has an NFC merchant reader that provides an electromagnetic field and an NFC hand-held device that senses the electromagnetic field and prompts a user for a personal identifier (PI) in response to the electromagnetic field. Additionally, the NFC hand-held device wirelessly transmits the PI, and the NFC hand-held-device receives an approval code transmitted to the NFC hand-held device in response to the PI. Further, the NFC hand-held device transmits the approval code to the NFC merchant reader, and the NFC merchant reader transmits a payment request comprising the approval code.
Systems And Methods For Securely Transferring Personal Identifiers
A system for transferring secured data has an authentication facilitator that transmits data indicative of a graphical key pad to a remote display device of a user computing device and, in response, receives from the user computing device icon location data indicative of locations of icons selected by a user. Additionally, the authentication facilitator recovers a personal identifier (PI) from the icon location data, translates the recovered PI to obtain a translated PI, and transmits the translated PI. The system further has a partner computing apparatus that receives the translated PI and allows the user access to a secured area based upon the translated PI.

Abstract:
A system for vaultless tokenization and encryption includes an iframe service for collecting data and a tokenization service for (de)tokenizing and encrypting/decrypting data. The system is accessible to users and partners that submit requests causing various functions to be executed by the system. The functions include, but are not limited to, providing (de)tokenization and/or encryption services, and managing and creating templates for iframe collection, (de)tokenization, and encryption/decryption. A template service facilitates generation of templates that parametrize collection of original data via served iframe elements, tokenization and/or encryption of original data, and detokenizing and/or decrypting tokens to recover original data. An iframe service is configured for providing a virtual terminal, an iframe that provides users direct access to (de)tokenization and/or decryption/encryption services. Access to system services is managed via identifiers that include authentication credentials and parameters for performing (de)tokenization and/or encryption/decryption processes.
