Abstract:
A method of preparing a molded article by means of an in-mold decoration process, is described. The method includes, providing a laminate () of a plurality of separate releasable thermoplastic labels () superposed over a carrier film (). A decoration () is applied in-line to the exposed second surface () of the labels (), thereby forming a decorated laminate (). The decorated laminate () is forwarded and indexed into a mold () such that the exposed first surface () of the carrier film () abuts at least a portion of the interior surface of the mold, and the decorated second surface () of the label () faces the interior space of the mold. Plastic material (e. g. , thermoplastic material) is injected into the mold against the decorated surface of the label, thus forming a molded article. The carrier film () is then separated from the molded article. At least a portion of the surface of the molded article prepared in accordance with the present method is defined by the first surface () of at least one label.

Abstract:
A system and method for real-time revenue management is provided. Data is received from a scheduling system pertaining to a network comprising a plurality of legs. A sub-network within the network may be identified, and optimization of the sub-network is triggered. A current inventory information value attributable to the identified sub-network is pro-rated, and an expected traffic value for the identified sub-network is calculated using a forecast of the expected demand, a standard deviation of the demand, a gamma distribution equation, and an unsatisfied demand value. An updated inventory information value for the identified sub-network is generated using the pro-rated inventory information value and an optimization equation, wherein the optimization equation generates a maximum revenue value by adjusting the expected traffic, and the updated inventory information value is transmitted to the scheduling system.

Abstract:
A method for scheduling airplanes. Eastbound and westbound flights are scheduled to arrive to and depart from an airport within a small period of time (e.g., 5 minutes). By now scheduling both eastbound and westbound flights to arrive to and depart from an airport within a small block of time, the flow of air traffic is smoothed. Further, the scheduling structure of the present invention allows the passenger's connect time profile to be the same for all the passengers thereby extending the minimum connect time to a greater number of passengers. Further, the scheduling structure of the present invention allows staggered gating (gates are paired in such as a manner as to function as a single gate) thereby expanding gate separation as well as allowing a reduction or an elimination of the gap in times in the services being performed above and below the wings of an aircraft.

Abstract:
A comprehensive system and methodology for incorporating origination and destination network effects into a transportation industry's vehicle assignment process. The invention utilizes a decomposition strategy to combine a simplified version of network segment-FAM with the network flow aspects of origination and destination yield management. The invention's decomposition of the problem allows for the nonlinear aspects of the targeted origination and destination market effects to be isolated in origination and destination yield management, and subsequently incorporated in the vehicle assignment model using linear approximations to the total revenue function. The system operates either in "standalone" mode, or communicably attached to remote and local databases attendant to equipment and scheduling.
