Abstract:
A method and system for routing and processing insurance related data. A data entry operator that receives insurance application-related documents from external sources. The data entry operator stores the documents electronically in a raw data database. A rules engine converts the documents into at least one data element having a common format. The rules engine then determines whether each of the at least one data element has been fully validated as clean data. If the data is verified, the clean data is stored in an operational database for use in application processing. If a data element is not clean, the rules engine generates an exception task. The rules engine then receives a resolution to the exception task, thereby enabling validation of the at least one data element.

Abstract:
Systems and methods are provided for performing data collection of insurance related submitted data provided by an applicant for insurance on a submitted form. The system may comprise a data input portion that inputs the submitted form so that the submitted data on the submitted form is available to a data entry operator; and a data collector tool, which processes entered data that is entered by the data entry operator, onto an internal electronic form, based on the submitted data submitted by the applicant. The data collector may include a form flow portion that presents the data entry operator with a series of form flows for collection of the submitted data, the form flows progressing through various user interface screens in collection of the submitted data, the form flows using content sensitive logic; and a metadata portion that generates metadata, the metadata containing information about the entered data, the metadata being progressively generated during progression of the form flows through the various user interface screens.

Abstract:
According to an embodiment of the invention, a method and system for storing data entered by a user in a remote relational database involves saving data as a plurality of software components at a server; converting the plurality of software components into a first string and a second string wherein the first string comprises a markup language format that substantially mimics the software components and the second string comprises a serialized string format of the plurality of software components; compressing the first string and the second string; transmitting the compressed first string and the compressed second string to a receiving server; and storing the compressed first string and the compressed second string in a relational database. According to another embodiment of the invention, a method and system for retrieving data from a remote relational database, as requested by a user at a user location involves requesting data from a relational database through a requesting server; retrieving a compressed first string and a compressed second string from a relational database; transmitting the compressed first string and the compressed second string to the requesting server; decompressing the compressed first string and the compressed second string; converting the second string to an original plurality of software components wherein the second string represents a serialized string format of the plurality of software components comprising a string of characters; determining whether the second string was converted; converting the first string to an original plurality of software components if the second string was not converted, wherein the first string represents a markup language format that substantially mimics the software components; and displaying the original plurality of software components via a user interface.

Abstract:
The invention relates to a risk based testing method. The risk based testing method comprises defining a process or system to be tested, identifying a plurality of risks associated with the process or system, quantifying each of the risks with a risk value, defining a test plan for the process or system, the test plan including a number of test cases, wherein testing of the test cases is prioritized based on the risk value, and executing the test plan. The invention also relates an article of manufacture. The article of manufacture comprises a computer useable medium having computer readable program code means embodied therein for testing a process or a system. The computer readable program code means in the article of manufacture comprises: computer readable program code means for causing the computer to receive and store data identifying a plurality of risks associated with the process or system; computer readable program code means for causing the computer to receive and store a risk value associated with each of the plurality of risks; computer readable program code means for causing the computer to receive and store data defining a test plan for the process or system, the test plan including at least one test case, the at least one test case comprising at least one step; computer readable program code means for causing the computer to receive and store data associating each of the plurality of risks with a step of a test case; and computer readable program code means for causing the computer to generate a report listing the risks in order of the risk value.
