Abstract:

A first disk carrier constructed in accordance with the invention is substantially circular, and has a size and shape such that it can be placed in an opening in a second, larger disk carrier. In one embodiment, the second, large disk carrier is a conventional disk carrier, e. g. used to hold a substrate during a magnetic disk manufacturing process. The first disk carrier is circular, and has a diameter equal (or substantially equal) to common substrates currently being manufactured. Therefore, the first disk carrier fits in and can be held by the second disk carrier. The first disk carrier has one or more openings for holding one or more substrates that have a diameter substantially less than the diameter of the opening of the second disk carrier.

Abstract:

Provided is a method, system, program, and data structure for deriving state information concerning a monitored system component. A status object is provided including information on a current state of the monitored system component. There are a plurality of states associated with the monitored system component, wherein each state is capable of having a state action and at least one transition condition associated with a transition state. A measured system parameter is received and a determination is made as to whether the received measured system parameter satisfies one transition condition associated with the current state indicated in the status object. If the received system parameter satisfies one transition condition, then the state action associated with the transition state associated with the satisfied transition condition is performed. The current state is set to the transition state in the status object.

A contoured bioelectrical signal electrode and a sensor headset are disclosed. Abstract:

An image sensor array includes image sensors having photo TFTs to generate photocurrent in response to received images. The photo TFTs each have their respective gate electrodes and source electrodes independently biased to reduce the effects of dark current. Storage capacitors are coupled to each photo TFT and discharged upon generation of a photocurrent. Each storage capacitor is coupled to a readout TFT that passes a current from the storage capacitor to a data line. The photo TFT may be disposed above the storage capacitor to increase the exposed surface area of the photo TFT.

Abstract:

Graphical user interface (GUI) logic for enabling the selection and displaying of specific directories, subdirectories, and files. The GUI logic displays on the screen the selection and deselection options that are available. The entire hierarchical tree structure of the file system can be selected for a particular operation or any leaf or node of the tree may be selected. The logic automatically traverses the tree in response to a user's selection of a displayed object on the screen. A method and apparatus for scoped interprocess message switching between a sender process and a plurality of receiver processes is disclosed. Messages supported may be scoped to message scopes of a message scope type of "Session" or one of a plurality of non-session message scope types including a message scope type of "File".
