She was reported missing by her father the next day, March 22, according to Minooka police. On Friday, her cellphone was detected in the area of New Orleans, although a close friend said Saunders did not have any tiMinooka Police Chief Justin Meyer announced Monday that his department was seeking the publics help in locating Saunders. A news release said that at this point in the investigation, it was unclear what Tina Saunders intentions were, but that Meyer believed she was vulnerable.
