Abstract:

The present invention overcomes the drawbacks and limitations described above by providing a paddle assembly having a paddle that moves in a bidirectional fashion for agitating solution in a container of a plating cell. A follower is coupled to the paddle. The follower engages a rotatable cam and is propelled along the cam as the cam rotates. A drive mechanism rotates the cam.

Abstract:

A high-voltage, low-leakage, bidirectional electrostatic discharge (ESD, or other electrical overstress) protection device includes a doped well disposed between the terminal regions and the substrate. The device includes an embedded diode for conducting current in one direction, and a transistor feedback circuit for conducting current in the other direction. Variations in the dimensions and doping of the doped well, as well as external passive reference via resistor connections, allow the circuit designer to flexibly adjust the operating characteristics of the device, such as trigger voltage and turn-on speed, to suit the required mixed-signal operating conditions.

Abstract:

An ESD protection circuit for a switching power converter which includes a high-side switching element connected between a supply voltage and the switching node, and a low-side switching element connected between the switching node and a common node. A current conduction path couples an ESD event that occurs on the switching node to an ESD sense node, and an ESD sensing circuit coupled to the sense node generates a trigger signal when an ESD event is sensed. A first logic gate keeps the high-side switching element off when the trigger signal indicates the sensing of an ESD event, and a second logic gate causes the low-side switching element to turn on when an ESD event is sensed such that the low-side switching element provides a conductive discharge path between the switching node and common node.
