Ex-Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick OK'd for parole, but federal charges loom
Michigan Department of Corrections spokesman Russ Marlan said parole board Chairman Tom Combs and member Jayne Price, who interviewed Kilpatrick last month, agreed Friday morning to release the former Detroit mayor anytime after July 24.
