IS THIS PARADISE? I have lived in North Idaho all my life, born and raised in Sandpoint, Idaho. I like to think of my self as somewhat of an expert when it comes to the area. I am a 3rd generation North Idahoan. If someone were to ask me if this is paradise, I'd have to answer, "it's my paradise". I love the fact that we have 4 seasons in North Idaho and fun activities for every season. Spring is a beautiful time of year in the area, with spring flowers in bloom. If you like fishing or boating spring is a great time to get out and enjoy the fun. Summer brings so many activities, if you like swimming, water skiing, boating, fishing, hiking, camping, huckleberry picking and so much more, this is the time to do it. Fall is so beautiful in the area.The reds, oranges & yellows of the fall season can be seen throughout the area. The weather is starting to cool down a bit and it's a good time to get out and enjoy everything nature has to offer. Winter is a great time to visit Sandpoint.If you enjoy skiing and other winter sports, Schweitzer Mountain is a great place to visit.In growing up here one of my favorite winter activities was ice skating. For those of us who are fishing enthusiasts, don't let winter be a detourant, ice fishing is alot of fun. No matter what the season, North Idaho is a beautiful place to spend some time.
