Abstract:

A drinking water filter for filtering major water contaminates from tap water and other drinking water sources. The water filter a cylindrical cartridge for receiving a plurality of sponge filters used as dividers between different layers of filtration material and along a length of the cartridge. The sponge filters are designed to remove large and small sediments in the water from 1 to 100 microns in size and greater when the water is introduced through the cartridge. The layers of filtration material includes a layer of granulated zinc and copper alloy, a fine mesh carbon block, a layer of granulated ion exchange resin, a layer of granulated activated carbon and layer of granulated activated calcite. The carbon block and the granulated carbon material is used for removing chlorine, odor, color, cysts, protozoa and organic contaminants such as pesticides, herbicides, arsenic, mercury, and trihalomnethanes. The zinc and copper alloy is used for removing chlorine and heavy metals in the water and reducing bacteria in the water.

Abstract:

A water filter used for treating tap water. The water filter provides a consumer with protection against major water contaminants found in municipal water supplies. The filter includes a cylindrical filter cartridge with a number of filter layers therein. The filter cartridge includes an upper filter cap and a lower filter cap received in opposite ends of the cartridge. The cartridge includes a plurality of filter pads which may or may not be used as dividers between the various layers of filter material. The filter pads are designed to remove large and small sediments in the water. In an upstream upper portion of the cartridge is layer of a granulated zinc and copper alloy. The zinc and copper alloy is used for removing chlorine and some heavy metals in the water and acting as a bacteriostat for keeping bacteria from growing inside said cartridge. In a center portion of the filter cartridge is a layer of granulated activated carbon. The activated carbon is used for removing chlorine, odor, color and other pollutants.

Abstract:

An improved water filter with water filter cartridge having an intake micron pad used for the initial filtering of large contaminates, such as rust, and a discharge micron pad used for removing any remaining floating contaminants and giving the treated water a sparkling clarity. Ion exchange fibers are disposed below the intake micron pad and are used for filtering out heavy metals, such as copper, mercury and lead. Below the Ion exchange fibers is a combination of resins to provide additional protection by filtering out copper, mercury and lead from the tap water. Disposed below the resins is a mixture a hybrid anti-arsenic sorption, an anion exchange resin and an inorganic component for removing phosphate and sulfate anions and inorganic arsenic. Disposed below the inorganic component is a layer of silver impregnated activated carbon and non-washed and washed activated carbon and disposed above the discharge micron pad.

Abstract:

An aromatherapy ring made of soft, flexible silicon or like material. The ring includes a split ring body with an open trough therearound for receiving aroma liquid. The split ring body is adapted for wrapping around a shower filter or a shower head. The ring body includes first and second ends with magnets or like attaching means for engaging each other and holding the ring in a horizontal position on the shower filter or shower head. When warm or hot water passes through the shower filter or shower head, the aroma liquid is heated, thus providing a fragrance for aromatherapy, when taking a shower.
