We worked with Morgan Freeman on a literacy project in the Delta. The Delta Blues project allowed me to network with some wonderful authors (and people). I was VP of MWG - which also opened up avenues such as meeting some of the best creative folks in the world! Graduated from MDA Entrepreneur pilot training out of Jackson, MS which taught me alot about business and gave me the opportunity to meet alot of wonderful business owners all over the state. I also attended the training for Healthworks - a program through the Mississippi Dept of Health and the National Program for Women's Health. I just finished a novel to be published by arcadia publishing due out in April 2013. I have been awarded several grants and have written grants for the Mississippi Writers Guild and Oxford Ballet. Event planning is my specialty and I have participated in planning events for Cape Verde English as a Second Language Associates, Fibromyalgia Inc., Wild Women Tea Party, Wild Women of the South, Mississippi Writers Guild, Delta Writers Association, FOL Clarksdale Library, MORE, INCA, Fairfield County Museum, (Historical Society), Boys and Girls Club of Mississippi, Heart of the South Girl Scouts,Clarksdale Women;s Club, SCWW, and many more.
