About:

I was born, raised, and educated in Birmingham, AL.   I am a widow with 2 sons and one daughter.  Although I love teaching students in the classroom, I am seeking employment as an instructional leader.

I am a 6th grade language arts teacher who recently completed the Masters of Arts in Educational Leadership program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. I also have a dual undergrade degree in Elementary / Collaborative Education. My primary goal for obtaining this site is to communicate with the parents, students, and colleagues. This site will provide parents and students with monthly newletters, a class syllabus, assignments, and other vital information for optimal success in my classrrom. Additionally, it will serve as a means of articulating educational issues and concerns with colleagues in my district.
