Abstract:

An apparatus for singulating unit dose blisters from a blister card including at least two perforations separating unit dose blisters positioned adjacent to each other and extending along a longitudinal length of the blister card is provided. The apparatus may include a perforation determiner and a blister card cutter. The perforation determiner may be configured to generate information indicative of a distance between a first perforation location and a second perforation location of the blister card with respect to perforations extending along a direction substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal length of the blister card and separating unit dose blisters to be singulated. The blister card cutter may be configured to utilize the received information indicative of the distance and the total number of perforations to determine cutting locations for cutting at the first perforation location, the second perforation location and additional perforation locations and enable cutting of each perforation extending substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal length of the blister card responsive to sequential cutting and repositioning operations based on determined cutting locations.

Abstract:

Systems, methods, apparatus, and computer program products are provided for dispensing items. In one embodiment, a magazine defining a channel adapted to store a plurality of items of substantially similar size in a uniform manner is provided. The magazine may also define (a) a rake element path adapted to allow one item of the plurality of items to be engaged and (b) a dispensing opening adapted to allow the engaged item to be urged out of the dispensing opening. In such an embodiment, a receptacle may also be provided. The receptacle may comprise a storage cavity and a rake element, wherein the rake element is adapted to (a) pass through the rake element path of the magazine to engage the item and (b) urge the item out of the dispensing opening of the magazine into the storage cavity of the receptacle.

Abstract:

Embodiments of the invention may provide a modular conveyor that includes a conveyor frame including an access opening, a plurality of conveyor buckets configured to move along a continuous path within the conveyor frame, and an access station where the contents of a conveyor bucket disposed at the access station may be accessible through the access opening. Each of the plurality of conveyor buckets may be configured to be substantially enclosed by the conveyor frame when not at the access station. The conveyor frame may include at least one channel disposed about a perimeter of the continuous path, where each of the plurality of conveyor buckets include at least one projection configured to engage the at least one channel. An endoscopic resecting apparatus views and resects a target tissue. The endoscopic resecting apparatus includes a sleeve, a compartmentalized tube, a visualizing device, an illuminating device, a first resecting mechanism, an irrigating apparatus, an aspirating apparatus, a gas insufflation apparatus, and an apparatus to instill a drug. The compartmentalized tube is disposed in the sleeve and has a first compartment of a first set of dimensions and a second compartment of a second set of dimensions larger than the first set of dimensions. A portion of the resecting mechanism is disposed in the second compartment so that it resects the target tissue. A portion of the irrigating apparatus is disposed in the first compartment.
