Abstract:

A data processing system and method are disclosed for generating and displaying a local server clock which is synchronized with a server clock using a client clock. The data processing system includes a server computer system, which includes a server clock, and a client computer system, which includes a display and a client clock. Data is requested by the client from the server computer system to be displayed on the client computer system's display. The data is then received in the client computer system. The client computer system determines a current time indicated by the server clock. The client computer system generates a local server clock. Thereafter, the local server clock is updated utilizing the client clock. The local server clock and the data are then displayed together on the client's display.

Abstract:

An electronic auction method and system are disclosed for permitting simultaneous submission of bids on multiple different items from a single screen image. Multiple different items which are offered for auction are simultaneously displayed on the single screen image. Each of these items may be offered for auction simultaneously using different auction types. Entry of bids is permitted for some or all of these items using the single screen image. The entered bids are then simultaneously submitted from the single screen image. A single confirmation screen image is then displayed which includes simultaneous confirmation of each submitted bid. A single result screen image is also displayed to indicate the results of the submitted bids.

Abstract:

A tire fill nozzle having an integrated dryer for drying compressed air or gas delivered to a tire. According to exemplary disclosed embodiments, the tire fill nozzle comprises a main body, an inlet connector on the main body adapted to engage an air/gas line, an outlet connector on the main body adapted to engage a tire valve stem, and a dryer in the main body adapted to dry air/gas passing through the nozzle. The dryer may comprise a drying composition, such as a desiccant, that can be permanently disposed within the main body or optionally disposed within a replaceable cartridge. Further optional features of the tire fill nozzle include (1) an integrated dryness indicator provided by a dryness indicating material, such as a color-changing desiccant, within a transparent or translucent portion of the nozzle (or an indicating cartridge) such that the dryness indicating material is visible from outside the nozzle, (2) an integrated air/gas filter, (3) a tire valve fitting at the inlet end, (4) a fitting at the outlet end adapted to threadably engage a tire valve stem, and (5) an integrated tire pressure gauge comprising an analog or digital display.
