A flexible endless belt includes cords extending generally lengthwise of the belt in multiple turns. An Outer end of each cord may be located in a position that is not substantially laterally outward of other portion of the laterally outermost turn of the cord so as to prevent fraying of the cord at the outer end. When the belt is received on roller in a baler, the outer ends of the cords lead at least a part of respective transition portions. A carcass for the belt may have a first cord wound in a Z-direction along the length of the belt and comprising at least two threads wound in the Z-direction and a second cord wound in an S-direction along the length of the belt and comprising at least two threads wound in the S-direction.
An endless elastomeric belt includes a carcass that includes an elastomeric matrix extending in an endless loop around a circumference of the belt. The matrix has opposite lateral edges defining a width of the matrix, and a carcass cord within the matrix extending in multiple turns around the circumference of the belt. An elongate binder extends around the lateral edges of the matrix generally transverse to the centerline of the body.
A knot tying tool, for use with a balloon having a body and a neck integrally formed therewith, comprising an elongate member having an upper surface and a lower surface, first and second longitudinally opposite ends, first and second narrow slots extending inwardly from the first end of the elongate member, and a recess in the upper surface formed generally about the second slot. The first slot receives a portion of the neck generally at its base. The second slot receives the free end of the neck and holds the free end to facilitate pulling the free end through a loop formed by the balloon neck around the elongate member, to form a knot in the neck. The loop is formed, after insertion of the portion of the neck generally adjacent its base in the first slot, by winding a portion of the neck generally adjacent its free end transversely about the elongate member and around the base of the neck.
