A system for inducing inertia into a vehicles' steering gear. Following a high speed blowout the added inertia will hold the front wheels steady in their pre-blowout direction. The added inertia will prevent a reverse power flow from the front wheels to the steering wheel following a high speed blowout. The conventional power steering of the vehicle will be strengthened so that the operation of the steering wheel by the driver will easily overcome the increased inertia of the vehicles' steering gear.
A device for sensing the degree of flexing in a tire. When the flexing of a tire due to low air pressure has reached a dangerous point, this device will warn the driver that this tire requires immediate attention. The driver will then add make up air or if the tire is damaged the driver will replace it.
Maintaining Minimum Electrical Service While Preventing A Blackout
This invention will instantly disconnect large blocks of electrical load from an overloaded power system grid while maintaining approximately of a customers electrical circuits energized. This action takes place instantly and will avoid the slowing of the overloaded power system frequency to a point at which the power system will become unstable. At the present time with the unexpected loss of generation, blocks of electrical load are disconnected leaving customers without any service of power. All of the customers circuits are de-energized during the power system blackout. With this invention large blocks of electrical load will be disconnected from the overloaded power system while leaving the power system customers with approximately of their electrical circuits energized.
This invention continuously monitors the position of a drivers head. This invention will instantly sound an alarm when a drivers head falls forward and downward should the driver fall asleep at the wheel.

Abstract:
A composite comprising a monocrystalline substrate and one or more layers or films of monocrystalline IVA-VIA compounds and/or alloys formed thereon by a chemical vapor deposition process. The composite is formed at a preferred temperature range of approximately 450. degree. -650. degree. C. The IVA-VIA layer(s) are produced by the pyrolysis of a gas mixture containing metalorganic compounds. Where single crystal metallic oxide substrates of rhombohedral structure, such as sapphire, (. alpha. -Al. sub. 2 O. sub. 3), or of cubic structure, such as magnesium aluminate (spinel), are used for the growth of monocrystalline lead-containing films such as Pb. sub. 1-x Sn. sub. x Te, a nucleation layer of lead is preferably formed on the substrate prior to the pyrolysis of the mixed gaseous reactants. Using the present process, epitaxial monocrystalline IVA-VIA compounds and/or alloys can be grown on inorganic metal oxide substrates, such as cubic and rhombohedral oxides, on alkali halides and IIA fluorides, and on II-VI and III-V compounds. The compositions of the films can be varied without removing the composites from the deposition apparatus by changing the ratio of the reactant gases and the reaction temperature.

Abstract:
A structural building module has first and second upright cast structural members. Each of the first and second structural upright members include a wall portion and a roof portion. These structural members are initially supported on erection pads such that the wall portions are upright and the roof portions project toward one another such that the roof portions can be joined together. After joining the roof portions a structural base is formed in situ by casting. The structural base is attached to the wall portions of the structural members by entraining into the structural base, attaching members projecting out of the wall portions near their bottom edge.
This machine provides back-up steering for a tractor-trailer when the conventional steering fails. The steering will fail due to a lack of interface bonding between the front tires and the road during turning and braking. This machine is constructed around a piston-cylinder connected between the tractor and trailer. The cylinder end pivots on the tractor. The piston rod end is connected through a pivot and a link to the trailer. This machine contains a high pressure pump in the fluid circuit. A pneumatically powered machine is shown in the patent specification. The pneumatically powered machine closely resembles the hydraulic machine. The driver controls the anti-jackknife machine through the driver control switch. When the conventional steering fails during turning and braking of the vehicle, the driver will sense the "spin" of the tractor and he will close the driver control switch. The energized anti-jackknife system will then bring the tractor back toward the straight ahead position to a heading desired by the driver.
