Abstract:
The present invention facilitates serial communication by performing duty cycle correction. A duty cycle correction component performs duty cycle corrections on a pair of differential sinusoidal signals according to a pair of adjustment signals and, as a result, generates a differential pair of square wave signals. A cross coupled buffer buffers the differential pair of square wave signals and provides the buffered signals to a feedback circuit that measures duty cycles of the signals and generates the pair of adjustment signals accordingly. The buffer can also remove skew from the signals. In a transmitter , the buffered signals are also generally provided to a multiplexer or encoder and in a receiver , the buffered signals are also generally provided to a sampling component.

Abstract:
A bidirectional repeater and data multiplexer for serial data has A-side I2C port devices A-A coupled to comparators - and pulldowns to ground -. Comparator outputs are coupled responsive to select lines S-S of N:l Select to terminal A of bidirectional control to control pulldown to non-zero low voltage Vp at B-side device B. An inverting comparator coupled to terminal B of bidirectional control responds to input threshold voltage Vt less than low voltage Vp, to prevent data lockup due to data flowback to devices A-A. Output data from comparator is coupled responsive to select lines S-S of 1:N Select to control pulldowns -. This selectively repeats routing of device A-A data to device B. Data from device B is selectively routed to pulldowns of devices A-A.

Abstract:
Methods and apparatus to provide clock resynchronization in communication networks are disclosed. An example method of clock resynchronization disclosed herein comprises determining a vote based on adjacent samples occurring within a single bit interval in a sampled data stream, wherein the vote comprises an early vote when the adjacent samples indicate a sampling phase of a sampling clock is early relative to a center position in the bit interval and wherein the vote comprises a late vote when adjacent samples indicate the sampling phase is late relative to the center position, tracking a running difference between a number of early votes and a number of late votes in a plurality of votes corresponding to a plurality of adjacent samples, and adjusting the sampling phase when the running difference reaches a threshold.

Abstract:
In versions 1. 1a and 1. 2 of the DISPLAYPORT™ standard, capacitors are used between a sourcing circuit and a switch for the auxiliary channel. As a result, these capacitors are generally uncharged when the switch activates the auxiliary channel, which can result in errors. Here, a switch is employed that uses precharge circuits to precharge these capacitors. Thus, errors due to charging of these capacitors can be reduced.
