When programming a contiguous page of memory storage units, every time a memory storage unit has reached its targeted state and is program-inhibited or locked out from further programming, it creates a perturbation on an adjacent memory storage unit still under programming. The present invention provides as part of a programming circuit and method in which an offset to the perturbation is added to the adjacent memory storage unit still under programming. The offset is added as voltage offset to a bit line of a storage unit under programming. The voltage offset is a predetermined function of whether none or one or both of its neighbors are in a mode that creates perturbation, such as in a program inhibit mode. In this way, an error inherent in programming in parallel high-density memory storage units is eliminated or minimized.

Abstract:
Optical coherence tomography (OCT) is used to map the surface elevation and thickness of the cornea. The OCT maps are used to plan laser procedures for the treatment of an irregular, opacified or weakened cornea, and in the treatment of refractive errors. In the excimer laser phototherapeutic keratectomy (PTK) procedure, the OCT data is used to plan a map of ablation depth needed to restore a smooth optical surface. In the excimer laser photorefractive keratectomy procedure, OCT mapping of epithelial thickness is used to achieve clean laser epithelial removal. In femtosecond laser anterior keratoplasty procedure, OCT data is used to plan the depth of femtosecond laser dissection to remove an anterior layer of the cornea, leaving a smooth recipient bed of uniform thickness to receive a disk of donated corneal tissue. The linkage of an OCT system to a precise laser surgical system enables the performance of new procedures that are safer, less invasive and produce faster visual recovery than conventional surgical procedures.
Image-Based Health Index Scoring System For Genitourinary Tract
The present invention features a method for automated image-based prediction of physiologic and pathologic conditions of a vaginal wall of a patient using optical coherence tomography. In some embodiments, the method may comprise capturing, by a functional optical coherence tomography imaging probe, one or more images of the vaginal wall. The method may further comprise constructing a computing device a visualization of the vaginal wall, discretizing the visualization of the vaginal wall in to a discrete model, measuring a plurality of objective attributes from the discrete model, generating, based on the plurality of objective attributes, a Vaginal Health Index (VHI), generating an associated risk value based on the VHI and a plurality of patient attributes, reconstructing the visualization of the vaginal wall based on the associated risk value, and mapping the associated risk value to the visualization of the vaginal wall such that one or more at-risk areas are highlighted.

Abstract:
The present invention is directed to a system for multimodal imaging through the use of a dual-rotational imaging catheter. The system may comprise a swept-source laser for providing a light source for OCT and OCE imaging, and an optical fiber coupler that splits said light source into one for a compensation arm and the other for the imaging catheter. The imaging catheter may comprise a rotary apparatus for a first scanning method, and a distal motor for a second scanning method. The dual-rotational model may allow for optimal performance of multiple imaging modalities. The imaging catheter may utilize optical imaging and acoustic imaging. A balanced photodetector receives input from the destinations of both light sources to offset DC noise. An US pulser/receiver is used for US imaging, a multifunction I/O module, a function generator, and an amplifier are used for generating an acoustic excitation force for OCE imaging.
Optical Biopsy Applicators For Treatment Planning, Monitoring, And Image-Guided Therapy
An in vivo optical biopsy applicator of the vaginal wall for treatment planning, monitoring, and imaging guided therapy is described herein. The applicator may include an imaging probe operatively coupled to a laser ablation device. The applicator allows for non-invasive optical tissue monitoring in order to define pre- and post menopausal parameters, pre- and post-treatment microscopic changes, and offers an objective scientific tool in order to compare currently available medical, non-medicated, and energy-based treatment protocols.
Optical Coherence Tomography Device For Characterization Of Atherosclerosis With A 1.7 Micron Swept Laser Source
An OCT system with a swept light source centered around 1.7 μm for identifying atherosclerotic plaque and visualization of large lipid pool is provided. Advantages for using the 1.7 μm swept source laser include higher contrast between lipid and normal tissue and deeper penetration of the optical signals from the 1.7 μm swept source laser into the tissue. With deeper penetration into the tissue, more structural information from deep within the tissue is obtained. The present invention also features multimodality imaging systems that integrate additional imaging systems into the OCT system at 1.7 μm. As an example, an integrated 1.3 μm and 1.7 μm OCT system is provided which simultaneously generates OCT images using both the OCT systems which are used to characterize and differentiate the types of tissue.
