Abstract:
A method includes provisioning a multi-mode wireless communications terminal with at least one system priority list (SPL) having information that identifies a plurality of wireless network system types and, for each identified wireless network system type, at least one wireless network of that type. The method selects from the SPL a wireless network for service selectively based on one of a manually specified priority, a priority specified automatically and a priority that is specified for use automatically only during a power-on mode of operation.
Apparatus And Method For Requesting Initiation Of A Communication Session Using Capability Configuration Parameters With Card Application Toolkit
A means by which a list of service options may be used as capability configuration parameters to specify a card application toolkit call setup command, such as from R-UIM applications, is provided. For example, when the R-UIM application sends a call setup command to a mobile communication station, the R-UIM application may also send a list of service options that may be used by the mobile communication station to negotiate with the network. During the service negotiation process of setting up the call, the mobile communication station will only use or accept a service option that is in the service option list.

Abstract:
Method and apparatus are provided that may help improve user experience during a media session when a mobility procedure of a user equipment (UE) involved in the session causes disruption in reception of packets. According to certain aspects, upon detecting an event indicating a mobility procedure is likely to occur, the UE may increase size of a buffer used to store packets during the session and/or reduce the rate at which packets are played out from the buffer to reduce service (e.g., voice/data) interruption.

Abstract:
In a semiconductor process which utilizes a plasma within a process tool chamber, a method of using optical emission spectroscopy (OES) to monitor a particular parameter of the process is disclosed. A first wavelength present in the plasma is determined which varies highly in intensity depending on the particular parameter by observing a statistically significant sample representing variations of the particular parameter. A second wavelength of chemical significance to the process is also determined which is relatively stable in intensity over time irrespective of variations of the particular parameter, also by observing a statistically significant sample representing variations of the particular parameter. These two wavelengths may be determined from test wafers and off-line physical measurements. Then, the intensity of the first and second wavelengths present in the plasma is measured on-line during normal processing within the process tool chamber, and the ratio between the first and second wavelength's respective intensities generates a numeric value which is correlated to the particular parameter.

Abstract:
In some described examples, a latency measurer receives packets from a tapping point. The packets may comprise wrapped packets including a wrapper header. The wrapper header may include a capture timestamp, a tapping point identifier, packet address and port information, and a message content hash.
