A method and system provide multiple-access control and frequency band allocation, and transmission time sharing among multiple users in orthogonal frequency-division multiple-access (OFDMA) and time-division multiple-access (TDMA) networks. The method can be applied to uplinks and downlinks of multi-user, multi-carrier communication networks. Under a total transmission-power minimization constraint, the method can allocate carriers and transmission time to users optimally, and at the same time, can guarantee a data rate or equivalently a latency requirement of each user.

Abstract:
A network includes a master and a set of slaves that communicate orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) and time division multiple access (TDMA) symbols on sub-carriers. A master broadcasts to the set of slaves using downlinks and all of the sub-carriers, a broadcast polling packet including data packets for each slave and sub-carrier assignments for the slaves. Each slave, in response to receiving the downlink polling packet, transmits simultaneously a response packet to the master using uplinks and the assigned sub-carriers. The master then transmits to the set of slave using the downlinks and all of the sub-carriers, a group acknowledgement packet, wherein the broadcast polling packet, the response packet, and the group acknowledgement packet comprise one superframe in one communication cycle, and wherein the broadcasting on the downlinks and the transmitting on the uplinks are disjoint in time.

Abstract:
Methods and system for providing synchronization of a multi-threaded application includes analyzing a source file of the application to identify one or more synchronization annotations contained therein, wherein the synchronization annotations are defined using declarative statements. One or more synchronization annotation processors are identified and invoked for processing the one or more synchronization annotations identified in the source file so as to generate code files. The source file is compiled to generate one or more class files by compiling the procedural code within the source file to generate one or more class files, and compiling the code files to generate the one or more class files. The class files associated with the code files are used by the multiple threads during execution of the application to arbitrate access to methods and data manipulated by classes within the class files associated with the procedural code.
Ito Electrode Design For Liquid Crystal Displays (Lcds)
Systems, methods, and devices are provided for an electronic display with thermally compensated pixels. Such an electronic display may have an array of pixels, at least some of which may be thermally compensated pixels that exhibit reduced thermal color shift over an operational temperature range. These thermally compensated pixels may have compensation electrodes that induce an electric field in the thermally compensated pixel that cause a reduction in color shift.

Abstract:
An electronic device may be provided with a display such as a liquid crystal display. The display may have a layer of liquid crystal material interposed between upper and lower polarizers. A first substrate such as a thin-film transistor layer may be interposed between the liquid crystal layer and the lower polarizer. A second substrate such as a color filter glass layer may be interposed between the upper polarizer and the liquid crystal layer. The color filter glass layer may have opposing upper and lower surfaces. The lower surface of the color filter glass layer may have an array of color filter elements. To prevent damage to display, an electrostatic shielding layer may be formed on the upper surface of the color filter glass layer under the upper polarizer. Reflections may be minimized by using index-matching dielectric layers in the display or thinning the shielding layer.

Abstract:
Wireless communications systems and methods related to the timing arrangements and the transmission gap configurations in 2-step random access channel (RACH) procedures to improve system latency and reliability of a RACH HARQ process are provided. The UE transmits a first message including a random access preamble and a payload, and then monitors for a second message in response to the first message during a random access response (RAR) window. In response to determining that no second message is received by the UE from the BS or a back off indicator is received within the RAR window, the UE re-transmits the preamble and payload of the first message after the RAR window lapses. In response to determining if the second message received within the RAR window carries a FallbackRAR or SuccessRAR, the UE then determines to re-transmit the payload of the first message based on the FallbackRAR, or to transmit an acknowledgement message based on the SuccessRAR.

Abstract:
Aspects relate to wireless communication having sounding reference signal (SRS) power control using non-scheduling downlink control information (DCI) that is configured to trigger aperiodic SRS without scheduling data and without a channel state information (CSI) request. The non-scheduling is configured to include at least two transmit power control (TPC) commands A first TPC command is configured for power control of a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmitted by a UE to a base station. A second TPC command is configured for power control of one or more sounding reference signal (SRS) resource sets. Additionally, the first TPC command may be independent from the second TPC command where different power control is implemented for the PUSCH and the SRS transmissions. Additionally, the non-scheduling DCI may be formatted according to a DCI format 0_1 or a DCI format 0_2.
