Abstract:
A motor drive system control provides global closed loop feedback to cooperatively operate system components to adaptively reduce noise and provide noise cancellation feedback. An active EMI filter reduces differential and common mode noise on an input and provides a noise level indication to a system controller. Power switches in both a power converter and power inverter are cooperatively controlled with dynamic dv/dt control to reduce switching noise according to a profile specified by the controller. The dv/dt control is provided as an analog signal to a high voltage IC and codified as a pulse width for a level shifting circuit supplying control signals to the high voltage gate drive. A noise extraction circuit and technique obtain fast noise sampling to permit noise cancellation and adaptive noise reduction.
Method For Providing Power Factor Correction Including Synchronized Current Sensing And Pwm Generation
A method for providing power factor correction for a boost converter in accordance with an embodiment of the present application includes providing a current sense signal indicative of a current flowing through an inductor of the boost converter, sampling the current sense signal to provide a digital current sense signal, generating a pulse width modulated output signal to control an on time of a PFC switch of the boost converter based on the digital current sense signal, generating a first synchronous signal based on a carrier frequency of a triangular carrier wave used to generate the pulse width modulated output signal, wherein the first synchronous signal triggers generation of the pulse width modulated output signal and generating a second synchronous signal based on the first synchronous signal, wherein the second synchronous signal indicates a sampling rate to be used in sampling the current sense signal to provide the digital current sense signal, such that sampling takes place substantially in a middle of a cycle of the pulse width modulated output signal.

Abstract:
The present invention is directed to methods for detecting the presence of advanced glycosylation endproducts using the unexpected discovery that certain antibacterial proteins, in particular lysozyme and lactoferrin, bind to advanced glycosylation endproducts (AGEs) with high affinity, and that this binding activity is substantially noncompetitive with binding of bacterial carbohydrates to the antibacterial proteins. Accordingly, the invention relates to diagnostic methods for diseases and disorders associated with increased levels of AGEs, by using compositions having associated therewith a molecule having a hydrophilic loop domain, which domain is associated with AGE-binding activity, and compositions comprising such a domain. The invention further relates to compositions and devices for partitioning AGEs away from a sample.
