Abstract:

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit a first part of a channel state information (CSI) report, wherein the first part includes an indication of whether a value of a second part of the CSI report matches a value of a previous CSI report; and selectively transmit the second part of the CSI report based at least in part on whether the indication indicates that the value of the second part of the CSI report matches the value of the previous CSI report. In some aspects, a UE may determine a modified subband size of the UE, wherein the modified subband size is different than a configured subband size of the UE; and transmit, in a CSI report, an indication regarding the modified subband size to a base station. Abstract:

This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for wireless communication. In one or more aspects, a user equipment (UE) is configured to transmit capability information of the UE for channel state information (CSI) reporting. The UE is further configured to receive, from a base station, configuration information for the CSI reporting. The configuration information indicates a CSI reference resource including a plurality of a first type of time units for CSI reference signal (CSI RS) monitoring, a CSI target resource including one or more of a second type of time units for which channel state information is to be estimated, or both. In an aspect, a UE and BS perform a RACH procedure whereby a preamble sequence group for a preamble is associated with a downlink receive capability of the UE. In another aspect, a UE and BS perform a RACH procedure whereby a preamble sequence group is associated with a group-specific RA-RNTI that is used to scramble an associated DCI communication. In another aspect, UEs performing a RACH procedure with a BS via different sets of ROs may monitor the same GC-DCI scrambled with a common RA-RNTI. In another aspect, a UE and BS perform a 2-Step RACH procedure whereby a Msg-A payload includes information indicative of a downlink receive capability level associated with the UE.

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for using subband precoding for uplink transmissions. In some cases, a UE may receive, from a network entity, at least one of a first downlink control information (DCI) or a second DCI, each DCI indicating at least one of one or more sets of one or more frequency domain (FD) bases and linear combination coefficients and transmit a PUSCH with subband precoding determined based on the first DCI, the second DCI, or a combination of the first and second DCI, depending on whether the first DCI is received, the second DCI is received, or both the first and second DCI are received.

Abstract:

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may determine to use one or more channel state information (CSI) omission configurations for omitting portions of a CSI report. For example, a UE may receive a trigger to report CSI, and the UE may identify that a payload of the CSI report exceeds a capacity of resources for transmitting the report. As such, the UE may determine to use one or more CSI omission configurations, where each CSI omission configuration may correspond to dropping different portions of the CSI report. The selection of the CSI omission configuration to use may be based on a set of parameters associated with CSI reporting. In some cases, the UE selects the CSI omission configuration based on an explicit indication from the base station. Additionally or alternatively, the UE may implicitly determine the CSI omission configuration based on the parameters.

Abstract:

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may inform a base station of multiple transmission-antenna switching capabilities supported by the UE. The supported transmission-antenna switching capabilities may include a first transmission-antenna switching capability and a second transmission-antenna switching capability. The UE may receive a message that triggers the UE to switch from using a first configuration associated with the first transmission-antenna switching capability to using a second configuration associated with the second transmission-antenna switching capability. The UE may perform a sounding procedure using the second configuration associated with the second transmission-antenna switching capability based on receiving the message.
