Abstract:

A method can include determining a number of cases received (e.g., a case load), a number of cases processed (e.g., a case rate), and dividing the case load by the case rate. The resource demand can be compared to a resource allocation, and the resource allocation can be changed based upon the resource demand. A information handling system can include a processor and a memory. The memory can have code stored therein, wherein the code can include instructions, which, when executed by the processor, allows the information handling system to perform part or substantially all of the method.

Abstract:

An anti-snag device for use with an electrocardiographic electrode lead clip having moveable arms for engaging the electrode. A lead wire extends from one of the arms. The anti-snag device comprises an elongated means extending from the other arm and joined to the lead wire so as to provide a smoothed configuration to the lead clip. The anti-snag device may comprise a piece of tubing, one end of which is inserted over the arm of the lead clip and the other end of which is fastened to the wire. The anti-snag device may also comprise an integral extension of the arm.

Abstract:

A visually-positioned electrical monitoring apparatus includes an electrical assembly comprising an elongate, flaccid dielectric body having at least one electrical contact, a passage and an open distal end. An endoscope extends through the passage and has its distal end substantially in registry with the distal end of the body. A method for placing an electrical monitoring assembly to coact with human tissue at a target site includes providing the aforedescribed monitoring assembly, extending an endoscope into the passage, aligning the distal end of the endoscope with the distal end of the body and visually guiding the assembly to the site.

Abstract:

A vented metal can end is provided. The can end includes a tab and a tab rivet. The can end includes an outer score and a vent score. The vent score is formed in the end wall and located beneath the nose of the tab. The vent score is positioned such that the tab rivet is located between the vent score and the center point of the end wall and the vent score is also located between the outer score and the tab rivet.
