Abstract:Coal tar pitch is blended with ABS (acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene) molding or extrusion composition. The product produced therefrom is superior in some ways for applications such as pipe manufacture and meets generally accepted specifications therefor. Furthermore, such a product is less expensive than an ABS product without the coal tar pitch additive.
