Abstract:

A device for automatically disinfecting a portion of a medical implement, such as a needless hub or injection port. The device includes a body shaped to engage the medical implement with the portion to be disinfected exposed. A disinfectant pad is mounted on the body to permit displacement of the pad relative to the body and is biased such that when the pad is displaced from a rest position, the pad is urged toward the portion to be disinfected to contact and disinfect it.

A child resistant, senior friendly packaging system is designed to securely hold multiple unit dose products and formed out of natural fiber or synthetic materials, or any combination thereof. A trapping device for trapping non-dispersing cloths in a toilet bowl is disclosed. The trapping device comprises a strap and a plurality of hooks. The trapping device may be installed in a trapway of the toilet bowl. The strap has a first end, a second end, and a middle portion, wherein the first end includes a first tab extending perpendicular to the strap and the second end includes a second tab extending perpendicular to the strap, and the middle portion is rounded. The plurality of hooks extend from an inner wall of the strap. The strap is made of a strap material that is resilient to bend and springs back to its previous shape, such as a stainless steel or a high density polyethylene.

Abstract:

A remote control access system uses a transmitter and a receiver. The transmitter generates an encrypted identification code which the receiver decrypts and grants access to the system if the decrypted code matches an identification code stored in the receiver. The encryption occurs by taking a 40 bit identification code and forming 5 bytes (8 bytes each). The 5 bytes are logic exclusive OR'd to form a 5 byte wide encrypted code. Decryption occurs by performing the opposite exclusive OR operation on the 5 byte wide encrypted code to convert it back to the 5 byte identification code. The 4 most significant bytes of the decrypted code are compared against the 4 most significant bytes of the previous stored decrypted code in the receiver. If the comparison yields a zero, this means the least significant byte will be within 2. sup. 8 or 256 of each other and access will be granted.
