Abstract:

A method and system for maintaining a traffic service level for data communicated by a computer network having a source. The computer network is connected to at least one of many networks, where each of the many networks includes a number of paths for transporting the data communicated to a destination. In one embodiment of the method, the traffic service level associated with one of the paths between the source and the destination is monitored. Then, it is determined whether the traffic service level associated with that path meets one or more performance metrics. If a flow of data communicated over the monitored path fails to meet at least one of the performance metrics, then a service level violation is indicated. Upon such an indication, an alternate path is selected to resolve the service level violation.

Abstract:

One example embodiment provides a method and system where a node in a utility network receives a block of IPv6 network addresses from an access point in the utility network. The utility node allocates an IP network address from the block of IPv6 network addresses received from the access point to an in-premise device which communicates to the utility node over an in-premise network which is not IP based. The utility node proxies the allocated IP address to the utility network, allowing other nodes on the utility network to address and communicate with the in-premise device.

A deep ocean, mid-water farming apparatus, for propagating bi-valves, kelp and sea weed comprising a plurality of air-containing tanks arranged in a frame and including a lower frame element and an upper frame element, a device for anchoring the tanks in deep water and including connectors to connect the anchor to the lower frame element for holding the device in deep water, a plurality of upwardly directed elongated tubular substrates, on which to grow the bi-valves, the substrates arranged about a vertically-oriented center strut, each substrate defined by a first, lower terminal end, for connection to the upper frame element, and a second, upper terminal end, spaced-apart from the first end and, a top hat centered about the strut for connecting to the upper ends of the tubular substrates for holding them in a fixed configuration thereabout.
