Abstract:

A brake mechanism includes a pedal arm, a beam and a cam. The pedal arm is pivotally connected to the vehicle, while the beam is interposed between the pedal arm and the input rod for transmitting force from the pedal arm to the input rod. The beam is pivotally connected to the pedal arm and rotatable relative thereto. The cam defines a cam profile, and the beam contacts the cam and follows the cam profile as the pedal arm is activated. The cam profile is shaped to adjust the position of the beam relative to the pedal arm as the pedal arm swings relative to the vehicle. In this way, a variable force ratio is provided to maintain brake pedal feel while achieving an acceptable force ratio for failed power situations. The mechanism can be designed such that the force ratio does not drop off further into the pedal travel.

A clutch mechanism is employed that is responsive to the input force to modify the position of the pivot point. In this way, the magnification of the input force via the pedal arm is modified.

Various systems, methods and products are provided for surfing the Internet. A method may include positioning a cursor over information to be search (e.g., a word or phrase on a web page, or on a screen, or in an electronic document), and initiating a web search by clicking on or otherwise acting upon the information. Abstract:

A cup holder assembly having an upper user engaging section and a joined lower cup holder section which is offset both horizontally and vertically from the upper section to rest against the chest of the user's body. The upper section has a convex bowed out shape configured to engage the user's upper chest and provide for the offset to the lower joined cup holding section to engage the user's lower chest. Upper section spaced end holes permit the attachment of a through strap for the user to vertically support the holder. The lower holder section has a flat lower outwardly extending container support platform and a separated upper encircling container support ring both of which are joined to a vertical concave back support member which engages the cup.
