Abstract:

An open top swing assembly uses a unique swing drive mechanism and a control to provide three selective swing height settings. The assembly has a frame which provides an open top structure for ease of access and a trapezoidal shaped front base to provide foot clearance. The swing drive mechanism includes a drive sleeve rotatably mounted to an axle that operatively supports the hanger. A drive flange is mounted on the axle, with a drive flange coupling device positioned between the sleeve and the drive flange to provide a limited lost motion connection. The coupling device includes a hub member coaxially and rotatably mounted on the axle and at least one torsional spring mounted coaxially on the hub member. The hub member includes abutments for engaging with the drive flange, whereby torque applied to the sleeve is transferred to the axle. A crank driven by a motor is linked to the sleeve to oscillate the sleeve.

Abstract:

Aqueous fermentation feedstock and method of producing same. The feedstock includes glucose and dextrose oligomers, wherein (i) glucose concentration is in a range between 10 gram/Liter (g/L) and 150 g/L; (ii) dextrose oligomers concentration is in a range between 50 g/L and 300 g/L; and optionally (iii) slurried particles of less than 0.5 micron; (iv) slurried particles of more than 0.5 micron, wherein a content of such suspended particles of more than 0.5 micron is less than 30 g/L; (v) ash at a concentration in a range between 20 g/L and 50 g/L; (vi) lactate at a concentration in a range between 0.5 g/L and 10 g/L; (vii) protein at a concentration in a range between 5 g/L and 50 g/L; (viii) corn oil at a concentration of less than 10 g/L; and/or (ix) glycerol at a concentration in a range between 1 g/L and 30 g/L.

Single cell protein products and an integrated method for the production of ethanol and single cell protein. Abstract:

Methods for producing a bioproduct selected from acetone, isopropanol and a combination thereof with a microorganism in a fermentor are disclosed. The methods include separating cells of the microorganism from a fermentation broth to form separated cells and recycling at least a fraction of the separated cells to the fermentor to achieve one or more of the following: (1) cell concentration in said fermentor greater than 2 g/L; mass yield on a first feedstock greater than 32%; productivity greater than 0.12 g/L/h; and bioproduct titer greater than 10 g/L.
