    Jan 31, 2006
  • Appl. No.:
    11/343778
  • Inventors:
Craig Eley - Lincoln NE, US
Darin L. Schollmeyer - Lincoln NE, US
  • Assignee:
    Eley Corp. - Lincoln NE
  • International Classification:
    B65H 75/34
  • US Classification:
    1373552, 13735526, 2423966, 242406, 2424071
  • Abstract:
A reel assembly is provided with a hub and opposing flanges that may be disassembled into at least two primary components that may be at least partially nested with one another for compact storage and transport. A stepped or tapered axle is axially received by the hub from only one direction to promote ease of assembly. A mounting plate secures to one end of the axle for mounting the reel assembly to any generally planar surface. A braking system is provided that simply permits free rotational movement of the reel one direction and a drag brake in the opposite direction. A swivel cap of unitized design incorporates retention in the axial and linear directions simultaneously.

  • International Classification:
    B65H 75/44
  • US Classification:
    242398
  • Abstract:
A reel assembly is provided to support lengths of fluid delivery line. A support arm is secured at one end with the reel assembly and shaped at the opposite end to engage a support structure. The support arm includes separate arm sections; each having mating end portions that are shaped to be releasably, coaxially securable with one another to resist rotation with respect to one another. The arm sections may be provided in various shapes, including straight and angled, to provide a variable geometry. A pivot joint may be formed within the support arm to allow a portion of the support arm and the reel assembly to pivot with respect to the support structure.

  • US Classification:
    13735526, 285276
  • Abstract:
A swivel connector of the present technology includes a housing that is rotatably coupled with a rotor, whereby an open fluid pathway extends through the housing and rotor. A rotary union bushing is coaxially, rotatably coupled with an exterior surface of the rotor. A rotor cap is coaxially, rotatably coupled around a length of the rotor; whereby at least a portion of the rotary union bushing is disposed within an interior portion of the rotor cap. A bearing assembly is coupled with the exterior surface of the rotor and at least one of the rotary union bushing or the rotor cap. An O-ring seal may be positioned between the housing and the exterior surface of the rotor to further limit the passage of fluid from the fluid pathway to the interior portion of the rotor cap.
