Abstract:
A number of proposals have been developed to provide data communications over two-wire copper circuits at rates equivalent to a number of combined ISDN B-channels. For example, for an ISDN rate digital subscriber line (IDSL), the circuit between the network termination at the customer premises and the channel bank carries data on two combined B-channels. An IDSL circuit cannot carry voice communications. Some such services carry the lower rate signaling D-channel only on the subscriber line circuit. Normal ISDN services carry voice services on one of the two B-channels, limiting data communications to the other B-channel. Normal ISDN services do carry the lower rate D-channel through the network, but this channel is used only for call set-up signaling, low speed data communications and the like. The invention uses two or more B-channels on the DSL circuit for data communications and transports voice telephone communications on the low speed signaling D-channel. The bearer (B) channels typically connect to a high speed data network, such as SMDS, for services such as Internet access.

Abstract:
Method and system of managing transactions. The transactions may be executed over different networks, such as but not limited to networks associated with different cable television service providers. The transactions may be monitored so that product purchases may be facilitated without requiring product vendors to support electronic communications with each of the networks. The transactions may also be monitored to tabulate metrics and other measurables reported from the different networks in such a manner that the vendors can receive a report without having to understand the reporting and tabulating means used by the different networks to measure the same metrics.

Abstract:
Systems and methods for executing accelerated electronic transactions are disclosed. One method includes determining, by a transaction accelerator system, an accelerated transaction account status of a user. The transaction accelerator system may receive transaction settlement data from the user based on the account status of the user. The transaction accelerator system may determine an accelerated transaction preference of the user. The transaction accelerator system may determine a settlement value in accordance with the transaction settlement data based on the accelerated transaction preference. The transaction accelerator system may store the settlement value in an accelerated transaction database associated with an accelerated transaction account of the user in real-time.
Automated Test Cards For Performing In-Flight Testing On Aircraft, And Associated Systems And Methods

International Classification:

Abstract:
Methods and systems for testing an aircraft in-flight are described herein. The method can include receiving a test deck including one or more test cards, with an individual test card including an ordered list of points. For an individual test card, points of the ordered list of points can be performed, a status for the performed points of the ordered list of points can be assigned, a current fuel value for the aircraft can be received, and the current fuel value can be compared to an expected amount of fuel required to perform the remaining test cards. In response to the comparison indicating that the current fuel value is not sufficient for the remaining test cards, the method can include modifying the test deck at least until the current fuel value is sufficient for executing a subset of remaining test cards.
Isolating An Upstream Noise Source In A Cable Television Network
- Louisville CO, US David Hunter - Louisville CO, US
International Classification:
H04N 21/24 H04N 21/647 H04N 21/61 H04N 21/442
Abstract:
Systems and methods presented herein provide for isolating an upstream noise source in a cable television network. In one embodiment, a cable television network is communicatively coupled to a plurality of CPEs through a node. The cable television network comprises a CMTS with a CPE polling module and a noise monitor communicatively coupled to the CMTS through the node of the cable television network. The noise monitor is operable in a band of frequencies unused by the CPEs for upstream communications to determine when noise in the band breaches a threshold level, and to indicate when the noise breaches the threshold level to the CPE polling module. The CPE polling module then polls each of the CPEs to retrieve transmit power levels and locations of the CPEs, and identifies the first CPE with the intermittently noisy connection based on the retrieved transmit power level and location of the first CPE.

Abstract:
A customer premises equipment (“CPE”) device for use with a cable signal provided by a cable system. The CPE device includes an antenna and a signal processing system. The antenna receives an interfering radio frequency (“RF”) signal generated by one or more external wireless signal sources as a copy signal. The signal processing system receives the interfering RF signal, the cable signal, and the copy signal, modifies the copy signal to produce a processed copy signal, and combines the cable signal, the interfering RF signal, and the processed copy signal to produce a combined signal. The signal processing system also monitors error rate values of the combined signal, and adjusts the copy signal such that the copy signal at least partially cancels the interfering RF signal in the combined signal thereby reducing the error rate values of the combined signal.

Abstract:
A noise reduction device for use with a cable signal distributed by an outside plant of a cable system. The device includes an antenna and a signal processing system. The outside plant receives an interfering radio frequency (“RF”) signal generated by one or more external wireless signal sources and combines the interfering RF signal with the cable signal to produce a noisy cable signal. The antenna receives the interfering RF signal as a copy signal.
