Abstract:

A multi-passage capillary arrangement can be formed from ductile glass material into an assembly that has an essentially round outer cross section and multiple capillary passages with diameters of 250 micrometers or less. The multiple capillary assembly provides multiple capillary sized passages of a regularly recurring shape in a single cohesive bundle. The round outer cross section facilitates the use of the multiple capillary by providing a suitable surface for connections. The multiple capillary arrangement can be made by a method that provides uniform or nearly uniform capillary passages throughout the arrangement. The capillaries are useful for chromatograph applications and as flow restrictors.

Abstract:

A displaceable purifier body improves the delivery of high purity gases from gas tanks or cylinders by providing a large flow area for filling the cylinder or tank with gas while preventing contamination of gases during the filling procedure and by automatically engaging the purifier for purification when withdrawing gas from the tank or cylinder. The purifier body or a separate seal body has an arrangement for reciprocal movement between a filling position wherein the gas entering the cylinder by-passes the purifier body and an engaged position wherein the purifier body moves towards the cylinder head assembly to prevent by-passing of exiting gases around the purifier. This arrangement offers little restriction to gas flow entering the cylinder and allows rapid filling of cylinders to make gas delivery more economical. The arrangement can also provide an indicator showing positive engagement of the purification system during gas withdrawal and a simple method for manually disengaging the purifier to allow exiting gas to bypass the purifier when desired.

Abstract:

Techniques are described for resolving document change conflicts based on state information. A document management system records, at a client device, changes that a user made to a root client-side instance of a document bundle to create a modified client-side instance of the document bundle, wherein the changes were made while the client device was not connected to a remote storage service. After the changes are recorded, the client device is connected to the remote storage service. In response to determining that a conflict has occurred, the document management system selects a particular resolution action, based, at least in part, on state information associated with at least one of: a user that made the changes, an instance of the document bundle, or the client device on which the changes were made. The document management system then resolves the conflict by performing the particular resolution action.
