Abstract:

A health care shoe, which can continuously provide adequate magnetic field arranged to penetrate through the wearers foot for improving the wearers blood circulation and metabolism, includes a sole; an insole placed on top the sole, which has a plurality of magnet cavities formed and distributed thereon; a shoe body rigidly attached on top of the sole to define a foot chamber between the shoe body and the insole; a plurality of base magnet elements fittingly received in the magnet cavities respectively provided on the insole; and a plurality of upper magnet elements embedded inside the shoe body with respect to the positions of the base magnet elements located on the insole, wherein each of the upper magnet elements is arranged to constitute a transversal magnetic field penetrating through the foot chamber and flowing towards one of the base magnet elements. Moreover, the sole further has at least a medicine receiving cavity to receive a medicine unit which contains a medicine tablet made of painkiller or Chinese medical herb being incased therein. The medicine unit further includes a bottom magnet element positioned thereunder so as to produce magnetic filed around the medicine unit.

Abstract:

A scroll type apparatus for fluid displacement is disclosed. In one embodiment, the apparatus includes an adjustment mechanism capable of being adjusted after assembly of the apparatus to close an axial gap between scroll members and account for manufacturing tolerances in apparatus components. In another embodiment, the apparatus includes an orbital scroll of two portions, with a supporting portion surrounding an eccentric bearing of higher density than that of a scroll portion. The center of mass of the orbital scroll is thus moved towards the eccentric bearing to reduce torquing of the scroll as it orbits. In a further embodiment, the apparatus includes an orbital scroll having two portions, a supporting portion surrounding an eccentric bearing having a lower coefficient of thermal expansion than that of a scroll portion, to reduce thermal expansion of the supporting portion, reducing misaligmnent of the eccentric orbital scroll on the bearing.

Abstract:

An acoustic transducer is secured to a plate having a front side and a back side. The transducer has an outer body with a front portion and rear portion and is sized to entirely fit inside an electrical gang box. A front-to-back enlarged opening in the plate is sized to receive the front portion of the transducer body. The transducer is secured to the plate so that the front portion is located within the front-to-back opening of the plate and is generally flush with the front side of the plate and most of the transducer body including the rear portion extends behind the plate into the gang box.

Disclosed herein are methods and calculators for configuring traffic allocations for service classes with different Quality of Service (QoS) in a router. Example embodiments involve setting allocations at a router based on traffic rate values and/or traffic weight values provided by a user. The router may monitor actual traffic rates to ensure that traffic is not being dropped due to improper rate allocations and to provide historical data for optimizing traffic allocations. In addition, the router may automatically adjust traffic allocations to avoid dropping high(er) priority traffic. The router may also transmit alarms to the user and/or to other network devices to prompt traffic re-routing and/or re-allocation of traffic rates. In a process for the production of tertiary ethers by the reaction of an alcohol and isoalkene, a sidecut stream is selected from the etherification separation zone and recycled back to the etherification reaction zone. When this sidecut stream is characterized by an isoalkene to tertiary ether molar concentration ratio that is greater than the isoalkene to tertiary ether molar concentration ratio of the etherification reaction effluent (which is normally at equilibrium conditions), the conversion of isoalkene to tertiary ether is increased.
