Abstract:

A health care shoe, which can continuously provide adequate magnetic field arranged to penetrate through the wearers foot for improving the wearers blood circulation and metabolism, includes a sole; an insole placed on top the sole, which has a plurality of magnet cavities formed and distributed thereon; a shoe body rigidly attached on top of the sole to define a foot chamber between the shoe body and the insole; a plurality of base magnet elements fittingly received in the magnet cavities respectively provided on the insole; and a plurality of upper magnet elements embedded inside the shoe body with respect to the positions of the base magnet elements located on the insole, wherein each of the upper magnet elements is arranged to constitute a transversal magnetic field penetrating through the foot chamber and flowing towards one of the base magnet elements. Moreover, the sole further has at least a medicine receiving cavity to receive a medicine unit which contains a medicine tablet made of painkiller or Chinese medical herb being incased therein. The medicine unit further includes a bottom magnet element positioned thereunder so as to produce magnetic filed around the medicine unit.

Abstract:

An acoustic transducer is secured to a plate having a front side and a back side. The transducer has an outer body with a front portion and rear portion and is sized to entirely fit inside an electrical gang box. A front-to-back enlarged opening in the plate is sized to receive the front portion of the transducer body. The transducer is secured to the plate so that the front portion is located within the front-to-back opening of the plate and is generally flush with the front side of the plate and most of the transducer body including the rear portion extends behind the plate into the gang box.

Abstract:

The present invention discloses a method, apparatus, and article of manufacture for creating a report on a computer. In accordance with an embodiment of the present invention, one or more nodes of a decision tree are displayed to a user. Information about the displayed nodes are then received from a user. The information includes at least one selected node. The structured report is converted into a report based on the selected nodes. In another embodiment of the present invention, the structured report is stored in a database that is connected to the computer. In a further embodiment, the structured report is electronically distributed via the Internet. The invention has utility for dynamically creating a structured report that can be accessed instantaneously.

Abstract:

A device which allows an individual to play poker with other, remotely located individuals over a network, the device comprising two screens and a game console. A top screen on the device is positioned over a bottom screen and is adapted to slide or fold open to allow viewing of the bottom screen. Abstract:

A corneal topography system incorporating a handheld unit, a base unit and a computer. The handheld unit includes a placido projector, a light source and a camera that receives the image of the placido image being reflected off of the patient's cornea. The light source is preferably comprised of a lightweight luminescent panel such as an EL panel. The handheld unit further includes a laser and a display that are used to properly align the handheld unit with respect to the patient's cornea into a desired orientation. The resulting reflected image is captured when the handheld unit is in the desired orientation and this image can then be used to obtain corneal topography data for the patient's eye.

Abstract:

A door holdback device holds a door or panel in open position. It may be mounted upon the wall of a conventional boxlike highway trailer and is automatically retractable to an inoperative position. The holdback device has a primary wire loop extending from the wall, said primary loop being integrally attached to two secondary wire loops, which are then secured to the interior of the wall. The secondary wire loops are internally stressed to retract the primary loop when not in use. A second embodiment employs an internally stressed primary loop which moves about its supporting mount to assume an operative position.
