Katherine Graham I've had this quote scripted on the entry wall of my office since opening the doors of Gallery Homes Real Estate. Katherine Graham, former publisher of the Washington Post Newspaper. wrote her biography "Personal History". It's a great read, especially for someone searching for meaning in what to do with the rest of my life. I began in real estate in 1992 at age 44. After two years I was asked to be the managing broker for a traditional, franchised NW brokerage. After 12 years I created my own brokerage in 2004, Gallery Homes Real Estate, a small, boutique-style company with a commitment to quality, integrity and personalized service for clients and for the brokers who join us. My commitment to my buyers and sellers is to listen for not only the 'bullet list' of needs and wants but also the 'between-the-lines' hopes and dreams. Marketing homes and representing buyers is as individual as the people I represent. No two are alike yet all are equally as important, from first time home buyers to the marketing of million dollar homes. Real estate is an ever-changing, evolving and improving industry; a great career for a life-time student. Additionally, for the last six years I've taught at North Seattle Community College the Washington State class "Real Estate Practices", a course required for brokers renewing their licenses the first time. The satisfaction derived from negotiating the best price for my buyers, designing extraordinary marketing for my sellers and educating both in and outside the classroom has joyfully affirmed the career path I chose years ago as Act II of my life; Yes, Katherine, nothing could be more fun.
