Abstract:
Computer-based methods and systems for facilitating the inspection of a vehicle to detect the presence of damage and problems with previous repair and to guide the inspection, estimation, and repair of direct and indirect damage are provided. Exemplary embodiments provide an inspection facilitator, which includes an inspection engine and an inspection interface. The inspection engine and inspection interface can be implemented as an expert system, which directs a technician or apparatus to perform a uniform inspection process. When used to detect prior damage and problems with previous repair, the inspection facilitator, after receiving vehicle specific information, first directs and guides an inspection of the underbody of the vehicle to detect gross-level or relevant damage and repair. The inspection facilitator then dynamically directs and guides an inspection of the outerbody of the vehicle based upon the nonconformities indicated in response to each directed inspection task. When used to guide an inspection, estimate, and/or repair of direct and indirect damage, the inspection facilitator first directs an inspection of direct damage.
Systems And Methods To Determine The Name Of A Location Visited By A User Of A Wireless Device
Methods and systems that record the location of a user and transmit targeted content to a user based upon their current and past location information. A network is configured to include a server programmed with a database of targeted content, a database of location information, a database of user information, a database searching algorithm, and a wireless communication system capable of communicating with the user's mobile device. The location of the mobile device is ascertained and recorded. The location information is analyzed to determine the routes taken by the user, businesses visited by the user, and other behaviors of the user. Targeted content is sent to the mobile device of the user and whether the user visits the physical locations associated with the targeted content is monitored. Payment systems, phone exchange systems, and other features may also be integrated to provide detailed conversion tracking to producers of targeted content and business owners.

A network is configured to include a server programmed with a database of location information, a database of user information, a database relating to physical advertisement locations, and a wireless communication system capable of communicating with the user's mobile device. The location of the mobile device is ascertained and recorded. The location information is analyzed to determine if the user was in proximity to a physical advertisement, and the businesses visited by the user. The location information is analyzed to determine the effectiveness of physical advertisements, such as print and billboard advertisements, by determining whether a user viewed a physical advertisement and subsequently visited a business locations associated with that physical advertisement.

The location of the mobile device is ascertained and recorded. The system determines the businesses visited by the user. Managers of physical business locations provide content relating to their physical business locations to the system. The content is caused to be transmitted to the mobile devices on behalf of the managers when it is reported that the mobile device is located at the physical business location.

In general, the invention relates to methods and systems that facilitate the discovery of business locations of interest to a user and record visits of the user to those business locations. A network includes a server programmed with a database of location information and a database of user information. Sometimes, users may not realize that businesses of interest are nearby. Businesses of interest be selected by the user using a button in a web page or on a mobile phone. The business location is put into a list of business locations associated with the user. The next time the user is determined to be physically located near a business of interest to the user, a notification is sent to the user's mobile device. The system may determine if the physical named location is subsequently visited by the user.
