Abstract:

The present invention resides in a detection agent that can be used to amplify a detection signal for a target molecule. The detection agent contains a linear first single-stranded nucleic acid attached to a capture moiety that specific binds the target molecule of interest. The first single-stranded nucleic acid includes a plurality of repeat sequences, each of which is non-homopolymeric and can specifically bind to a second single-stranded nucleic acid that has at least one detectable label. Related method for using the claimed detection agent to amplify a detection signal and a kit for this purpose are also disclosed.

Teleranking is the aggregation and analysis of customer call and click data through any communication device (“Device”) that provides relevancy and rankings of a Target(s) that is being searched for by the user. The Target can be a location(s), a business(es), a person(s) or a website(s). By combining call and click data with database information pertaining to the Target(s), Teleranking can deliver ranked relevancy for the Target(s) based on weight-based algorithms. When a user searches for a Target(s) on their Device, the call and click data assigned to each Target(s) is logged into a database. Based on the call and click characteristics and the user profile, a certain weight(s) is assigned to the Target(s). The weight(s) assigned determines the popularity and relevancy of the Target(s) based on the aggregate call and click data and the location and profile of the Device user. Abstract:

A method for selectively recovering nucleic acid from a sperm cell in a sample containing cells of at least a sperm cell and an epithelial cell, and a cell suspension medium comprising extracellular impurities, is provided. The method entails introducing a sample into a vessel, sequestering the cells from the remaining sample components, washing the cells with a washing solution either before or after sequestration, removing the impurities-containing cell suspension medium from the vessel while retaining the cells; lysing selectively cells of the first cell type; and isolating the nucleic acid from the lysed cells. Methods for recovering nucleic acid from the second cell type are also provided.

Abstract:

In the embodiments described herein, a RFID enabled license plate is constructed by using the license plate, or a retro-reflective layer formed thereon as part of the resonator configured to transmit signals generated by and RFID chip integrated with the license plate. Such an RFID enabled license plate can include a metal license plate with a slot formed in the metal license plate, and a RFID tag module positioned in the slot. The RFID tag module can include a chip and a loop, and the loop can be coupled with the metal license plate, e.g., via inductive or conductive coupling. In this manner, the metal license plate can be configured to act as a resonator providing increased performance.
