Abstract:Embodiments of the present disclosure provide augmented reality methods and systems where two or more component optical images are optically overlaid via the use of one or more beam splitters to become composite optical images wherein in some embodiments a second component optical image is an electronic optical image (an image from an electronically controlled emission source) while the first component optical image is one of a physical optical image (an image of a physical object from which diffuse reflection occurs), an electronic optical image, an emission optical image (an image from a non-electronic source that emits radiation), or a hybrid optical image (which composed of at least two of a physical optical image, and electronic optical image, or an emission optical image). In some embodiments the first and second component optical images are used to provide feedback concerning the quality of the overlaying and appropriate correction factors to improve the overlay quality.

Abstract:A system for microsurgery includes a first assembly and a second assembly, each including: (1) a planar remote center of motion (RCM) device configured to constrain motion of a surgical instrument attached to the planar RCM device such that an axis of the surgical instrument passes through the RCM while remaining in a planar region defined based on a rotational orientation of the planar RCM device; and (2) a rotational device attached to the planar RCM device and configured such that an axis of rotation of the rotational device passes through the remote center of motion. The rotational orientation of the planar RCM device is defined about the axis of rotation. The first assembly and the second assembly are configured to be positioned such that a distance between the remote centers of motion of the first assembly and the second assembly is no greater than two centimeters.

Abstract:The disclosure provides for systems and methods for determining a pitch rating for a pitch in baseball. The pitch rating can be configured to be indicative of a quality of breaking and non-breaking pitches. The disclosure provides for a detection system that detects the position of the ball. The pitch rating can then be calculated by extracting flight parameters from the detection data and multiplying appropriate flight path parameters by pitch rating coefficients. The pitch rating coefficients can be tailored such that the pitch rating calculation provides a value that is correlated to a subjective opinion on pitch quality provided by an expert. The pitch rating can then be displayed in real time to provide feedback or information about a quality of the pitch.

About:
Jason Wilson manages the Scarsdale office of Julia B Fee Sotheby’s International Realty which is part of the largest Sotheby’s International Realty affiliate globally. The office is one of thirty, four of which are located in New York in lower Westchester (Scarsdale, Rye, Larchmont and Bronxville). In addition to managing 55 sales associates his main focus is to develop new marketing strategies and increase Julia B Fee Sotheby’s brand visibility and market share. He has been in sales for over 15 years and has held management positions for 14 years. Jason gained his entrepreneurial acumen and marketing expertise as founder and managing partner of Wireless Depot North America. Recognizing a change in the wireless industry he decided to make an aggressive transition into the real estate arena. His take charge attitude, motivational skills and tireless work ethic helped excel him to the top. After only three years in real estate he was awarded the position of branch manager at a leading Westchester firm. Soon thereafter he started his career at Julia B Fee Sotheby’s. Jason’s mantra “I always look at obstacles as opportunities” was put to the test when he joined the company in a declining real estate market. Yet over the past year he has spearheaded double digit growth in the Scarsdale office. To further broaden his perspective on the business he joined various organizations where he held leadership positions for the Hudson Gateway Associations of Realtors (HGAR) and the New York State Association of Realtors (NYSAR). He is a certified New York State real estate instructor who teaches for HGAR and EAMLS. For years Jason has been active as co-founder and Chair of the HGAR Young Professional Network (YPN) and Member of the Arts Westchester Silent Auction Committee. His participation and leadership helped propel Jason as a rising star in the industry, awarding him with the distinction from The Business Council of Westchester’s 40 under 40 Rising Stars for 2008.
