Abstract:

A method for allocating and resizing a link on a communication medium is provided. The utilization of an allocated link is monitored and an unused bandwidth thereof is determined. Upon request for allocation of a second link, at least a portion of the unused bandwidth is included in the bandwidth of the second link allocated. A network including two nodes and a communication medium terminated thereby is operable to provide a plurality of communication links and is operable to resize the bandwidth of the allocated links is provided. The network is operable to monitor the utilization of an allocated bandwidth of an allocated link and deallocate a part of the allocated bandwidth that is non-utilized by the allocated link. The deallocated bandwidth, or a portion thereof, may then be included in a bandwidth allocation made for allocation of an additional link.

A network-side Idle-State Signaling Reduction (ISR) control capability is presented. The network-side ISR control capability supports network-side ISR handling under various conditions. The network-side ISR handling may be provided by supporting an ISR status for a User Equipment (UE) on a network node and controlling modification of the ISR status for the UE on the network node under various conditions. The control over modification of the ISR status for the UE on the network node may include maintaining the state of the ISR status for the UE on the network node in its current state when a condition associated with the UE is detected. Abstract:

Systems and methods for synchronizing mobility management (MM) data between a CS domain and a PS domain. In one embodiment, a visitor location database of the CS domain stores MM data for a mobile device. If the visitor location database updates MM data for the mobile device to add an association for an MM node for mobility management, then the visitor location database determines if a prior association existed with another MM node. If so, the visitor location database removes the prior association with the other MM node, and transmits a release indicator to the other MM node indicating that the association has been removed. In response to the release indicator, the other MM node removes an association with the visitor location database, and the MM data for the mobile device is synchronized between the CS domain and the PS domain.

Abstract:

Described are systems, devices, methods, and computer program products for user data transport over a control plane in a communication system. For example, a method comprises determining a size of user data to be transmitted over a control plane between user equipment and at least one network entity of a communication system. A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided herein for handling rejection cases related to Protocol Data Unit (PDU) session establishment.
