John M. Antos - Ann Arbor MI James C. Butler - Sidney OH
Assignee:
Thetford Corporation - Ann Arbor MI
International Classification:
A47F 304
US Classification:
312405, 312236
Abstract:
A door assembly for a refrigerator having a cabinet with a cabinet opening, a cabinet height and a cabinet width includes a main body portion and a cap portion. The main body portion has a door height and a door width generally corresponding in size to the cabinet height and the cabinet width, respectively. The cap portion is secured to and upwardly extends from the main body portion. The cap is configured to substantially cover a plurality of control elements upwardly extending from the cabinet when the door assembly is articulated to a closed position.
A latching arrangement for a refrigerator door includes a striker unit, a first latch arm and a second latch arm. The striker unit is secured to a cabinet of the refrigerator. The first latch arm is interconnected to the door for pivotal movement about a generally horizontal axis between a latched position and an unlatched position. In the latched position, the first arm releasably engages a first striker portion of the striker unit. The second latch arm is interconnected to the door for pivotal movement about a generally vertical axis between a latched position and an unlatched position. In the latched position, the second latch arm releasably engages a second striker portion of the striker unit.
Refrigeration Storage Bin Including Flip-Top Cover

Thetford Corporation - Ann Arbor MI
International Classification:
A47B 88/00
US Classification:
312404
Abstract:
A refrigerator storage bin includes a main body portion and a cover. The main body portion defines a bin storage area. The cover selectively provides access to the bin storage area. The cover is pivotally attached to a sidewalk of a cabinet of the refrigerator for rotation about a pivot axis between an opened position and a closed position. The cover and main body portion include cooperating surfaces that articulate to cover from the closed position to the open position in response to translation of the main body portion from a first position to a second position.

US Classification:
312408, 312313, 211184, 108 27
Abstract:
A refrigerator shelving system includes an item retainer for securing items carried on a shelf, a mounting member for releasably securing a shelf to a cabinet of the refrigerator, and a spill tray carried by the shelf. The item retainer is movable between a first position and a second position such that when in the first position, a first side upwardly extends from the shelf and defines a fence and when in the second position the first side is parallel and adjacent to an upper surface of the shelf. The shelf mounting member includes a first portion rotatably interconnected to a lateral side of the shelf and a second portion for selectively engaging a horizontal slot of a cabinet of the refrigerator. The mounting member is rotatable from a first position to a second position to engage the second portion with the horizontal slot. The spill tray includes a main body portion and a plurality of mounting elements.

International Classification:
B60H001/00
US Classification:
454118000
Abstract:
The vent assembly () includes a vent frame (), a vent () and a retainer (). The ven frame attaches to a sidewall () of the vehicle. The vent frame defines an opening and includes a projection. The vent is received within the opening and is removably attached to the vent frame. The retainer selectively secures the vent to the vent frame. The retainer is slidably mounted on the vent and is translatable between an engaged position and a non-engaged position. In the engaged position, the vent is secured to the vent frame through engagement of the retainer with the projection of the vent frame. In the non-engaged position, the vent may be removed from the vent frame.

Thetford Corporation - Ann Arbor MI
International Classification:
E03D 100
US Classification:

Abstract:
Apparatus for venting a sealed holding tank of a portable toilet to equalize the atmosphere and tank pressures before opening and closing the inlet port of the holding tank, said holding tank including a valve assembly for opening and closing the inlet port of the tank, and a vent port means in the tank associated with the valve assembly so that when the valve assembly is moved toward its open position, the vent means will be opened immediately prior to opening of the inlet port and when the valve assembly is moved toward its closed position, the vent port will be closed immediately after closing of the inlet port.

International Classification:
E03D 1100
US Classification:
4432
Abstract:
A portable toilet having a battery operated flushing assembly that is powered by batteries carried in the toilet. The batteries provide for a "pulsed" flushing action of the flush water and this is achieved by the use of an axial flow pump which is operable to lift small amounts of water small distances to the bowl in a repeatable fashion. This facilitates flushing of the toilet, makes it easier for the user to flush the toilet, and provides for efficient and complete flushing. A selectively operable closure plate prevents leakage of water from the toilet bowl during transport of the toilet.
